I wish. It works on everything except Cap ships. Never tried on base contructors though.

I hate keep argueing the same point. I remembered one basketball superstar when he was a rookie. He got double or triple teamed every time. His stats looked awful because he wasn't allowed to score. Basically his opponent played the game to contain him; which severely limits their options. He changed how the game was played when he was on the court.

Yeah Marza will be tossed as soon as MB is nerfed? That is pretty radiculous. Even with out MB (I will use it even if it gets a small nerf, its insane now), Marza has highest DPS (of all ships) and pretty good planet bombing abilities. I don't think it will be nerfed though; since they stopped balancing. Advent ships got nerfed to hell; they are still being used.
Fine fine. Don't get me wrong, I like Marza even if I think its overpowered. Guess what I build first when I play TEC? Two Marzas and then I can pick something else. It just doesn't make any sense picking any other ships. Marza is the most damaging cap and also very good at bombing planets. So basically Marza is like a damage dealer, planet bomber, and crowd control all rolled into one. Its the SOSE MVP.
Hell why not increase the radius so its harder to run from? LOL. Make the missiles homing like Starcraft? Oh no my tactics will no longer work if the abilitie is slightly nerfed! Oh no then my Mazra will be almost like a normal cap ship (even if still has 10 times more damage out put potential).
Nope. It will make it harder to hit 100 ships at once. Also TEC bases can't move. Marza can charge in before let loose the MB.
I think the best way to deal with this is to slightly reduce the radius of the MB. Maybe 20-33%. The TEC Overide Protocol actually has much smaller radius than MB. Errr.. I think blowing up an expensive base should do more than ship abilities. It will be much harder to hit that many targets with a smaller radius; right now the radius is huge. MB actually has much longer reach than Marza's normal attacks.
I don't think there is any unit in chess that can be compared to a Marza with MB. Nor do I think Progenitor or Jarrasul can be compared to Marza. You can wipe out a fleet with two level 6 Marza and minimal support. You can't do that with any other cap ships.
I would still pick Marza over Desolator at level 5. Marza can do a lot of damage with incendiary shells and radiation bombs. However I think Advent and Vasari has better choice in cap ships. For example Advent can choose just about any ship as second ship after Progenitor. Their ships works very well together. Therefore there is more reason for Marza to be dominating. For Vasari I usually go with Jar, Skirantra, Kortul; only build Desolator when I w

Anyone know if Repulsion or inertial field work on the Vasari space tulip? Vasari base seem to run too fast for a behemoth.
You took the words out of my mouth. Instead of nerfing the most powerful ability, they nerfed lesser power. How that make sense? Also please people don't pretend that Desolator is in the same league as Marza.

I tested level 3 vengence on easy AI. Its not too impressive, but its one of those might as well skills. If you have a Radiance with Animosity, you might as well cast vengence on it. Its free damage. Also maybe the AI ship does very little damage that might be why the retaliation is weak. I always get Energy armor; it protecs the ship and increase mana regen. I usually pick Radiance over Rapture btw. Rapture is good but Radiance is just useful al
Great point. Almost everything that was great about Advent was nerfed to hell. Why not nerf Missile Barrage? It is so obviously the most powerful ability in the game. Why build suicidal base when one Marza can do more every couple minutes? Besides Marza has best damage output even with out Missible Barrage.
Just compare MB to Yamoto Cannon from Starcraft. It hits one single target, has charge up time, and telegraphs activation. Missile Barrage hits everything in range, no charge up and no telegraph. it wouldn't be bad to "rebalance" it.
Maybe instead of nerfing Marzas they need to introduce more ways to counter Missile Barrage [e digicons]:thumbsup:[/e] I think Vasari has hardest time interupting MB. Also I shouldn't have to put a Radiance (or other counter) at every choke point in fear of MB.
You need at least 1 Radiance to disrupt one of the two Marzas.
I used to hate TEC and think they suck until I come here and read the posts here. So I build two Marzas from then on and maybe Akkan as third. Basically I play TEC somtimes just for Missile Barrage. Marazas is the best damag dealer even with out MB. I do think Marzas are a little less overpowered with the expansion. Missile Barrage do little to Starbases.
I think Advent mines are the worst. They home in and attacks my scouts. I lost a couple scouts that way.
