give colony ships an additional 'construct mine' ability
It may be a problem with the neutral mines being in the middle of nowhere. I have often wondered why you would find fully operation mines already built in space. I am going to take a wild guess here and assume it has something to do with how the game engine operates. What was fixed if IIRC is that you can no long destroy these mines by attacking them, in that way they are invunerable. Are they supposed to b

Warning - Incoherent RANT - Now I am really confused so a Mac is defined by What? When? and is a ripoff how? I missed most of the point of why we care. When personal computers began a MAC was its own machine with its own GUI which was inspired by the work of Xerox and other early pioneers. Long past are the days when the Mac was really even a Mac its just another OS on Intel Hardware. With a BSD Unix OS and a GUI overlay, which could run on everyone's PC. So Mac is not only a rip
That's really good info, I hadn't even figured out how to claim them with the Vasari, both games I played as them I just left the mines unclaimed and guarded when I could. This helps me on two counts - Thanks.
a little feedback from the devs would be nice
Would you feedback? Already people are being obnoxious (a small minority – most people are just having fun with this topic in the spirit it was intended) having Interpreted
sometime in mid-July
as the exact midpoint of July down to the millisecond. So would you feedback if you knew that everything you said was going to be misconstrued, twisted and spun, to the point that a mob of people are ready to hang you for doing so
I say we find where the Stardock and Ironclad HQ is and go there

from http://www.ironcladgames.com/about.html Location Ironclad Games is located in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
I'm all for going to Ironclad HQ - Not to demand anything I just love Vancouver, a tour of the place would be nice, then dinner, drinks and a BETA Patch!!!
Thats sets a pretty good precedent for what happens here...
I disagree isolated real life cases have nothing to do with the rules set up for a game technology. Alot of people here scream campaign, and since I'm not really sure of the definition in the context of an RTS. I will assume they want an interative story, based on the mythos, lore and social structures used as a premise for a two front war in which you can build a Solar Empire and crush your enemies. That said bef
Its actually pretty good experience.
Thats an angle I hadn't thought of Thanks :CONGRAT:
Insurgency does produce small numbers of rebel units at random enemy planets.
I should have known it did because no one is complaining its broken. I see how it is a very powerful tech now. Kind of like RA for the Vasari, but already nerfed cause you don't control the rebels. I still think that they should be your allies and if you end up in the same gravity well as them, they fight along side you and not against you. After all they should be in awe of your culture, 2 point
I just ran through the tutorial to try and figure out what it is your getting at, I think your stuck at the point where it tells you to investigate the grayed out new planet. Not the one your at, you don't go to the planets in this game, just to the gravity wells. My suggestion is start over on the tutorial, go slowly and carefully read each instruction when it comes up. Your getting confused because there is alot of info condensed into a short amount of time, and its just not intuitive for you.
I have had Sins for about two weeks now and play single player most everyday 2-5 hours. The first week I played only easy opponents, on small maps, with pirates inactive. This week I have a better feel for the game, so I am playing a single normal opponent on medium maps. I still have the pirates inactive. The functional definition of the Level 8 - Civilian/Policy/Insurgency Technology is:
Other empires will suffer periodic a
sometime in mid-July.
True but is it sometime yet?
Sorry if this question has already been asked I tried to read through the previous posts, but the off topic posts are clogging up this thread. Is the Beta open to everyone or just to testers? The way I'm reading this if you want the Beta you just download the 1.1 Beta patch when in becomes available in mid July. If you would rather wait for the final 1.1 release. You just sit tight at 1.05 until all the testing and feedback has been concluded and incorporated in the of
