Sorry for the lack of updates everyone, I just finished moving to a different country, so things have been a bit hectic. I just purchased the Diplomacy expansion and will be rewriting this tool from scratch. Hopefully the new one when released will fix the issues you're having Carbon016, I didn't run into them myself though, but I'll add optional debugging to the new version so that if the problem persists, we can track it down.

Sorry for the late reply, I don't check here often anymore. I'll re-install the game tonight and test it, though it should be working fine. You're pointing to a folder such as GameData (or it's parent folder), have recursive enabled, and the converted files are still in binary? One thing to make sure, if you're converting the Original data files, you need to uncheck 'Use Entrenchment' (due to a limitation in the ConvertData executables provided by the developers), and if you'r

Hey there, the application requires the path to the ConvertData_OriginalSins.exe or ConvertData_Entrenchment.exe files (I think those were the names), it should have auto-detected the location of them if you had SoaSE installed when you first ran this, but if not you can go into the Settings and manually locate them by pushing the "..." button beside the respective name. Assuming a default install location, the original convertdata would be here for example: C:\Program Files\Stardock

Sorry for the lack of replies, been busy the last few days; Due to the changes in the recent SoaSE patches, the conversion program seems to crash if versions don't match up, or if you use say the Entrenchment conversion program on a non-entrenchment data file. Your best bet is to a) try checking or unchecking the "Use Entrenchment", and try again, or to use harpo99999's tool to update the version of the data file 1.5 of my utility now detects if t

Hmm, that does help thanks, is there any way to determine what version a file is other than through trial/error? When I get a chance I'll dig through everything myself if you don't know it offhand, thanks though!

Updated main post with links to version 1.4.0.0 Grottenolm85: If you could translate the following text for me so I could add it, that would be great (or have suggestions as to better wording, I sort of just tossed a quick message in there); "The conversion program provided by SoaSE developers, has crashed." "Please try using the opposite conversion program." "Hint: To do so, check or uncheck 'Use Entrenchment ConvertData'" "***The current conversion wi

Apparently with ConvertData_Entrenchment is unable to convert ~original~ sins reference files, nor is ConvertData_OriginalSins able to convert ~entrenchment~ reference files (any attempt to do so will result in a crash of the ConvertData application, not this GUI), however they are able to convert their own respective files just fine. I will be updating SoaSE Mod Tool GUI with some added tweaks/features, as well as attempting to implement some way around this problem with the referenc

Actually, taken from a post by Harpo99999 (Thanks): "there is a change that effects entitys between entrenchment 1.02 & 1.03 the adding of a rendersheilds true after the shieldsmesh line in all entity's ships planets, planet modules and starbases. I know as I am writing a utility to update mods for this exact reason. and some mods are not updating properly as the do not decompress properly with the convertdata_entrenchment for entrenchment mods or the convertdata_originalsi

Hi there Grottenolm85, I'm the creater of DK - SoaSE Mod Tool GUI; Would it be possible for you to post a screenshot or the exact text of the error given when you try the program on your laptop? Without further detail it's difficult for me to pinpoint the issue. From my understanding any versions of the convert-data executables should work with this I will install SoaSE and Entrenchment today and test it out on my end, but if possible get
