Yes, that was the point I was trying to make. The B'rel, a teeny ship crewed by a dozen men, outguns every Federation Starship shy of a Nebula or Galaxy class starship. That makes no sense.
But from what I've seen, it's just the torpedo's that out guns most ships and it doesn't fire them all THAT often. I think it's balanced quite well as it is.
EDIT: Check out the bug page. 2 more were reported fix. I think that's all of them from my count, unless there's one we missed somewhere!!!!
I believe someone said there were 9 MAJOR issues to fix before they would release it. I'm sure some of what they've fixed up to this point was major, we just have to hope ALL of them were. ;)
Not gonna lie... I'm not even that interested in Diplomancy... sounds kinda boring... unless they have some new cool ships, or maybe a new race or some really good eye Candy I'm not gonna bother with it.
I'm with you Jim. I'm not overly interested in Diplomacy either. I do believe this mod will add a "freshness" to Sins and keep us coming back for more as the mod progresses on.
And if things weren't bad enough with this... something resembling a Doomsday machine has just been spotted out on the Rim??? It's somethng to think about for later on...
Regarding that, you could put the Doomsday machine inside the pirates base just like the borg cube was our teaser. :)

Screet - It sounds like you may have a memory leak or something like that. If you've tried turning your settings down and it bogs your system even AFTER the game is over, could be bad ram. That has also been a problem for me in the past. Could also be your system isn't getting enough power, or an over heating issue but I'm more inclined to think it may be your memory. I would recommend you do a system test and see if any of your parts fail. All of that sounds ver
Well there is no SP2 for the 64 bit version I believe... Nothing comes up under my updates tab so I don't know about that. Screet, looking at your cores running at 2.2, you may consider either over clocking your processor, or getting another one. (Over

Hmm... I had a similiar problem a few months back. I had to re-install (in my case update) my video drivers and it went away. If you're willing to re-install both again, I would recommend uninstalling and clearing all folders, registry, etc from your computer to give Sins a fresh start over. Best of luck!!

Hey guys! I've been playing SoaSE for quite a while now and am curious if everyone elses system bogs down in really big games. I'm talking multi system games up to say... 150 planets with five or so people going. I notice some serious slow downs roughly an hour or so into it when there are some quite large fleets surfing around. Does anyone else get this? And if so or not, what are the specs of your computer? I can get rid of a lot of the lag by of course

Well I toned everything down to high last night and everything was fine... Does anyone have any ideas as to why this might happen?

No, the computer freezes and the sound loops as stated above. You can't alt tab, ctrl+alt+del or anything. It needs a manual reboot.

Lucky for me I do have a disk. So I just need to uninstall what I have, reinstall, patch to the version I want, copy and paste the folder elsewhere, then patch again?

Hello all! Probably a silly question, but can someone explain to me how I can have different versions of Sins installed? I have entrenchment (not sure if that matters) and I would like to play some non-entrenchment mods but they don't work with tue current version I ha
