I could probably add: Scouts LF (& Flak). As Darvin mentions, LF, & Flak (to a lesser degree, I think), both do a pretty good job of countering scouts. But what doesn't counter scouts?! Besides LRF? Bombers?? And... I could probably add: HCs, SBs & Cap Ship > ALL. Those three deal relatively high damage to all types (except strikecraft). Additionally, I noted that turrets get a bonus against Me
Aren't LRF strong against the same things as bombers?
Sorta, but they don't recieve a damage bonus, (against them) like bombers do. LRF are fairly good against Cap ships because of their long range and relatively high base damage.
And what beats SB killers? idk.
Fighters, I believe. And/or scouts! - to some degree. I believe SB killers have light armor. After your intitial question, I created a <a

First of all, at least one of the Artifacts must be made valuable enough to make it worthwhile to explore for them. Right now, its a gamble to explore for them, when on average, that doesn't pays off for an individual. And it would be a further gamble in hopes of sharing it, to make it cost effective. SO... IMPROVE THE ARTIFACTS. Or at least one, be made very valuable, so it is worthwhile gambling on them!
all you need is illumantors
LOL. Is that a new type of dinosaur (spelling)? But yeah. I should have also mentioned, that HCs are good against pretty much everything, and supposely more so against LRFs. But that doesn't currently seem to be the case against Illuminators.
Also how does LFs counter Flak Frigates? I've never seen them done.
Flak also have Heavy armor, which LFs are good against. In my experience LFs are the best thing against flak, but flak have so much armor (hull & armor) that they take a long time to take down. It is especially noticible in clearing planet militia. Often people build a turret, and leave, letting the turret slowly finish off the flak.

To further complicate things, Fighters and Scouts - to some degree, are fairly good against Seige & Colony ships too, since they all share light armor (& constructors too?!). I also believe the structure killers (TEC Orgrovs & Advent starfish) carry light armor, so are suspectible as well. Structure killers are only good against structures. Siege are good for planet bombing only. Finally LRFs are fairly good against Cap ships a

There was some questions about counters. Basically it goes: LRF > LF > Carriers (fighters) > LRF again. Thats the basic triangle. Its pretty obvious that LRFs (Long Range Frigates: Javelis LRMs, Illums, Assailants) are good against LFs (Light Frigates: Cobalts, Disciples, Skirmishers), and that LF are good against Carrriers, etc.. The following is a more comple

Just a heads up. In Entrenchment (not Diplomacy), I've been seeing lots of desyncs lately, and hearing alot about them too. Its just in the last few days. I think it started on Jan 7, the day the Beta 3 Diplomacy update went live. Hopefully, this info will help you track it down.

Ever since this update, I've been seeing tons of DESYNCS in Entrenchment! Yes, not in Diplomacy, I don't even have it. But something is screwing with the online game... and it started on the 7th, the day before yesterday. The day that this update was installed. Maybe its a coincidence. IDK. But something needs to be fixed.
Also the map was Razors Edge, so it's close quarters.
Yes, Razors Edge is a small map. Only 3 planets per player. (So tradeports and Econ are less effective). It has a few great chokepoints. This map is more about rushing, and taking one or more of the AI's planets before thier superior econ leads to an insurmountable advantage (hard gets 1.5 times the income/resources). Limited logistic slots means less civil orie
... its buff is far less useful in practice... - The halcyon gets buffed adept drone animae. It is not an antimatter using ability. - The skirantra gets buffed scramble bombers, an antimatter using ability that is direct competition with another vital antimatter using ability - repair. I'm not saying scramble bombers doesn't have its uses, I'm just saying you are forced to choose which antimatter using ability you are gonna use for

Mathguru, You can 'pin' a scout (select scout, then click the pin button at the top) to get it to appear on the empire tree. Starbases are included in the Entrenchment expansion pack. Its only 10 bucks, available online for download only. It includes Starbases, mines, 1 new ship for each race, and several enhancement in a new defense tree. Well worth it.

Why do the charts show that players receive less than what was given to them? Is it taxed based on the fleet level? If so, who's? The giver or the reciever's fleet tax? I've noticed that in some cases, people receive 91 for every 100 given. Other times, I can't make any sense of it. When I tested feeding on single player, allies receive 100% of what is given. What's the deal? Not to mention, that feeding really unbalances competiveness.
Does deplete antimatter actually disable abilities?
Yeah, it always has been an interrupt (but its called detonate antimatter). Also see here . Also, Krath, I think you underestimate the Dunov's Flux Field. (Or maybe haven't used it properly)? My ratings there (at the link) generally agree with this discussion. TEC: Marza 5 stars, all other TEC Caps 4 stars. Advent:

Dang it. I copied the wrong line. It should be: AntiLight attack type's damage modifier vs CapitalShip, Medium, Heavy and VeryHeavy armor increased from 25% to 50%. So, scouts were actually buffed as well. But not specifically against LRFs, altho medium does include LFs. BTW, I agree with Cykur's comments. And I also, primarily have a problem with Vasari against Advent scouts/LF.
I disagree. As far as I know (someone correct me if I am wrong) ADVENT SCOUTS HAVE BEEN THE SAME SINCE THE GAME SHIPPED. Yet no one ever complained about them before. Never. Some other game dynamic changed, but the Advent scout did not change. So if there is a "problem" and you want to fix said "problem," hone in on the dynamic that changed, not the Advent scout. Darvin3 said that it

I don't think you got a satifactory answer. I too would like to know. I've often wondered about 'credits from other sources', and have never completely understood it. (BTW, this income is not included your credit income, so it alone doesn't explain why you had the best income.) Sometimes I've seen players with huge amounts of 'other income' in the opening minutes. And I don't know what it is! My only explanation is that they are scuttling stuff

So the Skirmisher might need buffing. But why, and does it solve a problem? IMO, the new problem is: Advent scout & Disciple rushing (no labs required). And Illums remaining overpowered. In 1.18, all of the LFs got buffed (by about 5.8%). But Advent Disciples cost much less, in both fleet & $'s (4 fleet), than the Vasari Skirmisher (7). So the Disciple recieved a proportionally much bigger buff (almost twice as much)
