Hmmm... If I have to name one game that's stuck in my mind so far it would have to be the X-universe series of games, the current game X3 Terran Conflict is by far a very good game heck they keep patching it and it has mods galore to boot especially in the German community part of the forum. Though it is a game that requires a "GOOD" running PC with good specs but it's a damn good finely tuned game. Granted it does have some issues, but so far and I've had this game for over 2 years you would

Think the only reason these game developer teams "RUSHED" things was because they had corporate greedy fat bastards breathing down their necks, a lot of these big game companies don't think of games as masterpieces of gaming art rather all they see is the dollar signs. It's destroying the gaming developer community and killing support from the fans. They can only crap out so many games to a point where gamers and fans say enough is enough. Ah here's a thing that ticks Modern Warfare f

Speaking of ranting... lol I'll rant all I want because I don't like seeing lazy game developers... know what that says to us players? You want something fixed... do it yourself don't expect us creators and game makers to fix problems we ourselves caused, oh yeah... try getting past our hardcoding at the same time... I don't pull punches in that area at all, I don't mind if they drop and leave to work on another project but the least they could do is allow modders more freedom, especi

[quote who="Carl" reply="1595" id="2768090"]Attention everyone. I love this mod. I love Star Trek, and I wanted to contribute something to the SoA2 Community. So, I have spent the past 3 days making something that should be appreciated. Using data I have trawled up from the Internet, I have made a map that is more or less accurate to the Star Trek Universe with a few exceptions. One of these is that the Alpha and Beta Quadrants are at the top of the map and the Gamma and Delt

Alright, reporting back on the basic attack frigate. Outside of being fleeted they fire, when in fleet though they don't fire. Hope that narrows the search down for that bug. Edit: okay I narrowed it down some more, the frigate when you load a saved game don't fire after you save your game and then load it... :? this is a very strange thing to happen. Not sure about newly spawned ships but current ones already in the game. After you save and then load the saved game it

I did see the frigate fire a few times in my first battle but after that when I fleeted it with my battleship nothing happened. Don't know what it was... but no doubt there is something buggy happening there. Also nice on the autocast feature to only use it during stages where the shields are getting to critical I like that a lot because it has your ships conserve anti-matter for other needed skills instead of wasting it when it isn't needed. Haven't gotten very far into the game because of t

Okay here's a new model I did, a completely new redesign of the Carrier, notice it's similarity to the ships I've been chugging out recently XD It's not complete yet but I have to say it's quite near there and I just started on this about 2 to 3 days ago. Anyways enjoy the eye candy :P <img src="http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/419/newcarrierdesign2.jpg" alt="" width=

Hmmm... Nepilim beginner frigate, the canon fodder one :P noticed it isn't attacking enemy ships so you might want to look into it. Now I got a question about the two races, what areas are the Nepilim focusing in besides armor and hull points? and what are Plague focusing in? sorta like how the vanilla races focus on certain areas EDIT: argh... forgot this little detail I noticed the Nepilim battleship, the main battleship that is, it's second ability project frontal shi

ah cool, I'd assume you would know where the hanger bay would be and I was right :P if you see any of those kinds of area's on my ships that are flat and squarish looking assume it's for a hanger bay. On some of my models I've removed it since when ever I get around too it I plan on making a mod later on in the other game I was talking about earlier... or... I actually plan to learn how to make an actual game... there are programs that you can buy out there for a decent price and you can crea

Good, good glad my feedback can help a little, I'll do more testing soon expect some more feedback. I can understand some parts of the ship being shiny. Good place to look is the vanilla ships they have shiny hull parts while other places aren't as shiny :P Also if you want you'll notice on the Battleship model some area's that are flat, like in the ear of the ship down at the bottom that has a space allocated for something. <a href="http://img43.imageshack.us/i/battles

Right Zomb I got the files and I'm testing now. I know the textures are still in the works but does the whole ship have to be so shiny? also from the looks of it a lot of the areas that mark the color of the race seem to be a bit off... just wanted to point that out but you probably already know about it and I know this is just in the early stages and will be improved upon much later :p Good work though so far
