Actually we have never played Entrenchment over LAN. All of our games have been played through Ironclad over the internet. So when you say to turn down the graphics from highest to high , is that the single settings where it says ship detail and such? Because if this allows us just another hour to play during a game we would finish many more games! Cvon

OK , we(me and my brother) can not stop playing regardless of sync errors :) ....but it seems that we get just as many mini-dumps. To avoid this as much as possible we can only play small maps...bout 25 planets max...1-2 ai enemies, that way we sometimes get close to finishing a game before sync loss or mini-dump....however, if it is sync loss and we are close to finishing , we just go ahead and complete the game, other wise we are forced to exit SoaSE and restart a 
Well I just looked at the mod with more appropriately sized(huge) planets, suns, and gas giants, and even Moons. WOW I did not know just how much cooler that would make the game.....but I would love to see those kinds of things added to SINS. Cvon

A couple ideas...... First I love the ability to design ships if only for the look of them (gal civ) but, rather than take away from the predesigned ships in the game.. how bout use the idea that has been tossed around here regarding the super cap ship. for example allow the customization of "that" ship only at the start of the game. Each player simply chooses from a set of choices that allows your Super Cap to look more personal... that is if your empire grows large enough to act

I am posting this to ask the community if anyone else has had the same experience "specifically" relating to my sync problem. Ok here goes......my bro and I play as much as possible since obviously we love the game and the expansion but, we simply can not finish a single game as at some point tween hour and half to 4 hours we lose sync. Been there done that. prolly 8 out of 10 games desync for us...forces us to play small maps with fewo pponents 1 unfair or 2 hard...Our problem is that the data is the same for both of us and that dont help the devs much. Restart from save and the desynch happens same time no matter what. Worse still we move together to a star we had not moved to before and the enemy ships were WAY WAY(i mean glitchy shouldnt happen distance) far outside the grav well....AND
I think a great addition to the game would be to make the pirates more useful gamewise. For example; At present there is one version of pirates, but what if there was another option beside the turn pirates on or off for the game that allowed you 2 choices. First, normal pirates on/off.. or Second, pirates at lvl 1-10. Where as if you choose to play the game with pirates on say lvl 4, then you do not get the standard pirates that normally attack..Instead you would get pirates
Ok me and my brother played bout 4 games last night....first two were sync errors round 3 hours in, then we took the advice of Josie and loaded the autosave previous to the sync error and regardless of which direction we chose to travel (first two attempts went to green sun together) with the same result of sync error at the same time . Autosave starts at 3:45 but everytime at 3:56 boom sync error...next load of the save game we both moved to blue sun and the sync error struck agai
Take out the mines?...No. That would be as pointless as leaving them as is. There would only be one addition to the game from Entrenchment..starbases. hmmm for 10 dollars?... When the mines are fixed they will work as intended. Although, the main mine problem I feel should be addressed is giveing players the ability to place them specifically as computer opponents can do to us. I like the idea about haveing access later in the game to giant starbases that can fill up a dead asteroid grav well and provide perhaps small logistics an tactics role, but what I really liked about your idea was the notion of being able to actually PLACE the mines....as is I putem down ina random clump for Tec and then when I move into a enemy grav well theirs have been perfectly placed in a line that all my ships have to fly through. I understand completly. I do not runiMac.. but play with my brother both on win xp. We have played approximatly 12 games total with entrenchment and only 3 made it to the end with out desynch. Infact last night we played a game 4-5 hours and only when we won did it minidump. I too have no function in the starbase of Tec.. no matter how much I upgrade and research the tab for building ships at a starbase is greyed out and says no frigate factory. Nor has it allowed construction ships or trade ships. Going to play a one player game now and try out the other starbases.
Same here! Ruins multiplayer games instantly. PLease if there is nothing else done, fix the sync problem. Just cannot play multiplayer again until it is fixed. Can't play if I dont see the same game my allies see.
Well I have now attempted to play several games with my brother online and every time at some point the game loses sync and suddenly despite seeing eachothers chat and some ship movement we are no longer seeing the same enemies at the same place.
