I'm clueless on what it means when a team is "locked" in the new game options.

Is there any way to re-generate the "background" of the map you're in? I've played one that was light blue, and now I'm on a black-background and I hate it! I can't see any of the ships properly, which is one of the best parts of the game. I feel like I'm controlling icons representing black-on-black graphics.

I like the idea. I'm still trying to learn the game, so I'm not ready for online play, but when I am, I'm sure I'd love something. Why not put together something on YouTube, until an expansion is released?

Sorry for the newb question, everyone -- I've searched high-and-low for the answer. How do I capture an undefended, "neutral" extractor? i.e.- I find an asteroid field with crystal and metal asteroids that say "capturable" or whatever. I can't seem to figure out how to make them mine! Much appreciated!
