Also plausable to start with limited resouces and let people build their fleet as they see fit, th
Sure for DS lore check out the Distant Stars Main topic link in the Original Post.

Its more than a 'reason than an excuse to watch ships blow up'. Lore is on the same page as graphics, its an investment in drawing your gamers into an universe and reaching an emotional level tie into your game.<
No Ryat, You may not start a ryat. If you do they will have to call the ryat squad with rubber bullets and water jets. Maybe some tear gas. Cereal. I am 4 wheels about this. Dont be a ryating Ryat.
You could also tweak the accuracy of flak vs bombers, for addtional damage to just bombers. and vice versa lowering it against fighters would allow them to survive a bit longer. Flak is really at a great spot minus vs bombers. But Im not a SC fan so my opinions might be bias.
I like the fact that half the questions asked when they were asking for some where things that have been answer before in the FAQ's and on the fourms. Another large chunk were bitching about when is beta... there were only a few good solid questions IMHO. But any info is cool to learn.

No, I mean its plausable and do able to set some campaign style objectives and triggers currently. Its what you kids want. No. But someone could work with what is currently usuable till Rebellion. Even then your not gonna get a true campaign. I was just offering a creative suggestion for those who are hell bent on this topic.
They have said there will be different victory conditions, one could throw together a series of maps to be played in order to get a campaign. In theory you could make a campaign right now via modding. For example having a map spawn with structure that kills all units/structures/planets of your enemy after a certain time. Defend said structure till time goes off. You now have your survive X mins mission. You could also create a map that 'expands' its self over time using modife
The only difference would be really you have to be log in on Steam while playing, vs. not even running Impulse or having installed on your computer to play as it currently is. I do remember Frogboy saying he would put their games on Steam if Valve let them sell their games via Impulse. Dont know where he stands on this now that they dont own Impulse anymore.
