We've given up playing anything including Vasari... But the mine spam and micro needed with mines makes playing/playtesting pretty much impossible for us.
I've also stopped playing until things become more balanced. Homing mines destroyed a large fleet and well fortified planetry structures so quickly I decided to wait until the issue is fixed. The mines are too good at homing in on targets and the TEC fleet

I still think that this would help!
2: I think we all agree that enemy mines should not be visible on the map, unless your fleet can see them.
Surely minefields should be mapped once the gravity well has been scouted/explored (?). The minefield information would only be up updated when a ship is in the gravity well or a drone is active.
I like the idea of mines but there needs to be a minesweeper ship or ability for another ship. A large fleet with 6 cap ships, numerous scouts, frigates and cruisers does virtually nothing to the minefield. On the other hand the same fleet destroys worlds, structures and starbases in under a minute and is indestructable to large enemy fleets. Something is wrong! Minefields should be layed out so that each mine can detonate without setting off others around it ot
Preordered in September, November 18th release date not met and then told the release will first be Beta not the full version and then no date for that. Unimpressed? Angry! I had been impressed with the way that the developers had been listening to what gamers would like to see and then developing the game along those lines, but they have let themselves down with the Entrenchment release debacle.
Being able to use the buy/sell metal/crystal buttons in the upper right of the screen without having to access the blackmarket menu is great, but if the research menu is open I can only sell as the buy buttons do not work when behind the research menu. When I want to buy some extra metal/crystal to get enough for my next research I have to close the menu, buy it and then open the menu again. It would be nice to be able to use both buy and sell buttons with the research menu o
I have noticed the game hesitate slightly when large fights start in a one star system with only one enemy and pirates which is odd when using an overclocked quad core CPU and 2GB DDR3 memory with an 8800GT. TBH I had expected it to run absolutely smoothly.
The back of the box says "enhanced for multicore" but even with this update the game only seems to use one core (?). I'm using 64 bit Windows Vista Ultimate with a Q6600 and use all cores in multimedia and benchmarking programmes but not Sins.
