Quoting Maxxedmk, reply 1866One downside though is that only the Asurans will be able to use Atlantis, even though the Human side also had access to the original Atlantis. The thing you've got to, and most people don't, consider is that the Asurans could build atlantis, the Tau'ri can't. It's not about what they have in their possession, it's about what they can build.
Just one question. &nbsp

Perhaps making a 'one-way' phase lane would solve the problem? Have the base attached to a planet and give that planet a super version of the phase jump inhibitor. Something like 10000% I'm not sure what that would do to pirates returning from a raid, but they don't -have- to return, do they? Also, keep whatever they are attached to out of the way from the rest of the map somehow, so it doesn't interfere with the gameplay too much. &nbsp

I would like to see the ability to capture enemy structures when you take over a planet. Upon capturing them you get to use them as your own. Say I'm TEC and I capture a Vasari planet with a matter processor, why would I want to destroy something that valuable? Or if there is a research station, I say that we should be able to use it to research either some of the other races technology. Not all their tech, but some, give the TEC or advent some nanotech to increase hull repa
I'm not sure if it would be an RPG or not, but Shining Force (particularly 2) and Fire Emblem would both qualify, although they're both console games. I'd be interested in knowing some more modern PC options.
Fire Emblem is a must. The ones that they put on the GBA are good, I'm not much of a fan of the gamecube/wii ones. Final Fantasy Tactics is good too.

From what I heard, the lower battery life comes from a faster processor inside it or something. It's also thinner, has slightly larger screens (I think) and no GBA slot. The no GBA slot is a real negative for me, especially with DS games that can used GBA games for extra content. It was like when my original GBA died and I bought the SP only to find my e-reader, which wasn't that good anyways, couldn't be used on it. :c

If planets have stargates by default. the stargate destroyer that Anubis tries to use on earth could be one races superweapon or some sort of artifact. Kind of like the Novalith, but through the gates, targeting desert/terran/ice planets or something.

I think I remember having the same problem. But It was because the map I was using was the wrong version. You can change it by opening the .galaxy in notepad (or whatever) and changing the version number from 1 to 2 (IF there is a problem with the cersion numbers)

Well, you pc looks pretty close to mine, faster processor, not by much though. I've got an Nvidia 8500 GT with 512 megs of memory.. Mine runs the game pretty good. I don't get any sort of slowdowns unless the map is HUGE and I've been playing for hours. I like to toy with the AI, built up my economy and then wipe them out. I would say get another gig of ram though, Vista will probably need it. (From what I've heard.. I have little experience with Vista)

I don't know how to do it, I have no skills in modding this game at all.. but I've seen it done a few time. I think manshooter has or is rescaling planets in his mod https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/177648/page/36 and I remember seeing a thread a loooong time ago, with resized planets given textures of planets from our solar system that where HUGE. THey were much, much bigger than the planets we have now. So yes, it can be done.

I liked it. I used the juggernaut and a few ships to defend an asteroid leading to my home planet, it worked really well. I tried a different game on a custom map I made specifically to give the pirates an economic boost so I could get access to everything. I think the L.R. Transaction Device might be a bit overpowered but creating 2 capitals. I totaly destroyed the ai's home planets with it while they were defending elsewhere. (I also found a way to colonize plane

I didn't get to the Juggernaut, but I'm liking the capital abilities that I've seen so far. Resources were a little slow at the start, when I was just starting out killing off nearby planets, but once the AI got a few decent fleets for me to attack things started getting better. It took a little bit of different thinking compared to other races, but so far it's been fun.
