I currently have a beta version of Windows 7 running on a backup PC that is a few years old and it does seem to have some improvements over Vista as mentioned above. I haven't ever purchased a retail O/S only OEM products as I always feel they don't warrant the extra added cost. That mainly being software tech support. I would pay around $100 for a basic OEM version without complaint but I doubt that will happen. I would guess $325 is going to be the premium retail price.

Still down. Was down since late last evening here.

Merry Christmas to as well! I can come off as a bit of an asshole in my posts forgive me. Best Holiday wishes!
My reasons for having a dislike of Norton/Symantec products are because of personal experience. The fact is that I've always used Norton or McAffee in the past on all my previous builds. McAffee for instance was a literal nightmare to recently remove from my laptop after receiving it as part of the bundled software when I first bought it. Eventually I did a complete reformat to rid my HD of all its little trails just so I could reinstall from scratch. It may not be the case for

Now show me the test where the efficiency of those free antivirus is proven... It's strange how there are multitudes of tests on free firewalls, but pretty much NONE for free antivirus software, don't you think?? And please... Point me in the direction where I can get all the top quality work YOU have mad

Stay away from Norton and McAfee. Some of the worst problems I've seen with virus laden sytems were ones where people had these installed. The only reason that people really even have these is because most manufactured computers Dell, Gateway, HP etc have them installed OEM. They are quite garbage really and eventually they burn a hole in your wallet with subscription services, renewal fees etc. If these companies really wanted to propmote anything other than their own profits they wouldn't m
Firefox FTW! Yeah I use the same browser must have v.10 of MM Flash. I guess I'll just wait for the update to the forum. In response to the poster who said it still won't save, there was a seperate Save button hidden at the bottom of each seperate table. One near your personal info and one for the Messenger stuff. Thanks for the help.
Thanks BFRoberg. I finally was able to change my account information. Now how do you get the avatar?? I go to that page and I see the "Upload Image' button but it does nothing when I click on it?? I notice you got one to work.
I've had the same problems with TEC. They lose loads of their ships in massive battles, but as pointed out above they have a great capacity to continually replenish their losses with their solid economy. 1. Befriend at least one of the AI. It goes a long way towards allowing you to focus on one opponent at a time.Even if it costs you 1000 credits and a couple hundred metal or crystal, getting to that 50% approval is key. They almost always will accept a ceasefire at that point and it
I wonder if there is going to be any way to actually set a fleets formation beyond tight, loose, or standard. Something like this... Front ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ &nbs
Are you on 1.1?
I am playing 1.1. Hope to try some of these new tips tonight and see what I can manage. I haven't used the Timed Explosives with my scouts but I am interested in that tactic. Also that Marza with the Incendiary Shells. I'll have to stick to colonizing with the Protev then. Thanks for all the different ideas ! Happy Gamin! A nice pic of Centrifuge Map... [IMG]http://i48.photobucket.com/al
As for my fleets,I have been spamming Javelins till I get about 10 then I usually switch to Garda, Percheron, and Hoshikos till I can get the Kodiak. Mainly defensive fleets with balance. I have a hard time offensively against the AI because with that Centrifuge map they have numerous routes to go through the back on me. Thats where my biggest problem has been. No offense. Centrifuge is tough. I have crushed the AI on medium maps with more space , but on that small 3 player with the pirates I
Perhaps thats the way that the AI compensates for its lack of intelligence.
I have been having some trouble playing the Centrifuge map against 2 Hard Random AI. So far I've probably lost about 30 straight games on this map. I have found it extremely challenging to come up with any sort of strategy against the AI. I have been basically stagnating after capturing my first 3 worlds. The switch from normal to hard has made the game much more fun but also frustrating. On normal it was almost too easy wasting the AI so I switched to Hard and have been challeneged to the po
