I love the ADVENT!!! If they really existed, I would idolize them!!! I mean who wouldn't want a brain implant that augmented psychic abilities? Who wouldn't want to use those abilities against their enemies? Seriously guys, THE ADVENT RULE!!!
I have had the same problem. It's not just you I just got out of a game 30 mins ago and I saw that same prob.
Revelation Battlecruiser - Really weak survivability. Gets shamefully owned by neutral militia in the beginning. Reverie and Clairvoyance are good abilities but the other two aren't. Has someone ever even used Guidance? Provoke Hysteria isn't the ultimate planet killer in spite of being a lvl 6 siege ability. Sure a lvl 6 Revelation can quickly hurt a maxed out planet but it can't finish planets quickly enough, even the small ones, or leave a lasting penalty on the colony
How about we list possibilities for replacing the Asteroid ability instead of leaving it up to the developers. That way, when we testers agree on something, the Devs can implement it.
From what I understand, the Advent starbase is HUGELY underpowered from the other starbases. I saw that the Advent's starbase capabilities, ended up less powerful than originally promised. Also, I read in another post about StarBases that the actual ability in the Advent SB that throws asteroids is buggy and doesn't work properly. Hopefully thia is corrected in the next update.
But removing it also removes balance. What is the base going to have after removing that? A culture Center and trade port. I might as well not build an SB if that is removed and Instead just build Temples of Communion, and Trading Stations. I am not looking at this from the concept POV. I agree with Ratchit01, I didn't really think about it at first, but now that he metions it, it would really be a good idea to have the TEC Siege Frigate, Advent Purge Vessel, and the Vasari Karrastra Destructor to have a researchable ability that can eliminate the mines. I personally hate the fact that the mines are Invincible up untill your ships are like 2 inches away from them. Ok let me break it down. So I was playing Sins Hard with AI (I despise Online). And it was Advent (me)vs. TEC (AI). As I was playing the game and (FINALLY) beating the AI, I go into a planet that had been spammed with over 200 Mines. Although I was able to successfully capture the planet, I could not send in my entire fleet of ships because these mines were littered all over the place and I knew that if I sent in the fleet, I would definitely lose a capital ship or five
I mean imagine it guys. Having your own die cast model of your favorite SOASE Capital ship. And then imagine also having a Die cast model of a star base. It would make the experience a wholw lot better if the models were battery powered so that when you turned it on, lights would come on to make it look like a real Capital ship or SB. You know, I was thinking the other day. If stardock decided to make replica models of the Capital ships and Starbases of all the races of Sins, not only would they rake in an even bigger, profit but think about how cool it would be to pay $24.99 to have a model of your favorite capital ship form TEC, Advent, or Vasari siting on top of your tv. If Stardock were to do that, I would buy all of the Cap ships, and SB of the Advent. Yay for capitalism!

Well, we can't really use the mod. With Entrenchment, the Mod has completely become inoperable. Trying to use it with Entrenchment causes a Minidump so you should look into making it Entrenchment Compatible.
I would also like to see a range increase in the Advent Starbase. Although it is pretty cool and I have not seen as many problems as the other Beta testers, I would suggest an Increase in range for the advent sb, larger tactical slots so that you can at least have 1 of every ability available to the sb, the ability to move around the gravity well, And new screenshots from other faction's sb's since I dont go anywhere near the Vasari or TEC I'd just like to see what i'd be up against.
Ok nevermind I was able to solve the problem It turns out as soon as I deleted the Mod I had installed it started working correctly again. Oh and guys, Entrenchment works best with DirectX 10.
I am unable to load Entrenchment entirely. I stared the game and waited for 10 minutes to see if the game would start, and it never did. I wasn't even able to try to manually terminate the game through the Ctrl+Alt+Del function so I had to reboot my comp. so I could regain control of the computer.
