But I always wanted to be a necromancer, from the day I dug up my grandparents(age 5) and tried to zap em with a wire in the power socket. For some reason, my parents thought I shouldn't continue this behavior, instead of properly encouraging it. Fools! Muhahahahahahah! ...

you need a few thousand more ico players online to get much activity here.
A fleet of 6 caps work with endgame advent setup... Come play a game with me sometime noodlesplash. I'll livestream it to prove your case.
Hmm, I'm gonna build on seleucia's comment and add something else. Using your superweapons on a target planet with your titan in the gravity well of the target planet should have some additional synergies. Vasari: Double the duration of the Phase node aspect of the Kostura Cannon. This would improve the efficacy of all your kostura cannons as the duration would be longer then the recharge time for the ability, so you could do some creative phase node chai
No, they dont. Surely you realize there is a bigger difference between black and white than between various shades of gray. If you do something better than someone else, it makes you less unique than if that someone cant do the same thing at all. Until you fail to acknowledge this simple concept, its you who has a weak argument in this case.
Timmaigh, the speed at which an orkulus moves allows it to be properly micro'd to intercept a fleet.
Hey everyone, I just came from modding the star bases to move and from increasing their range. The moving thing was OK, however it wasn't what I imagined. I did like increasing their range for this gave them the defensive capability they needed. Now covering the whole gravity well was way to much, I just doubled their range(Yes even the Vasari) and it worked perfectly. If you just placed them well then you could defend quite well. Th
They believe right..
You must believe in yourself and be a stubborn Sonofa to really last in soase multiplayer. You must lose your ego with your early losses, to be regained later with your constant theoretical victories. Having ego after say 10 games(and losing most) is a sign that your skill and your perception of your skill don't equal. Try to get them to equal, and realistically se
The credits are available.
Sure, if you are facing AI's... Do you play any challenging games, riddleking? If you want to be a good eco position player, you won't have magical credits to spare. These ships also take up logistics slots, and a % loss in income in an eco position due to logistics upgrades can spell doom in the long term.
Perhaps the engine can't support all those constantly moving battles? I really don't know how this would impact performance, so anyone with more know how in this area please respond. :)
To me, sins proved that all 4x should be real time. Any game design that doesn't have full real time isn't interesting to me anymore.
If you want to face AI, try to have 9 unfair computers allied against you on a multistar. Its quite a fun match :) This is most easily beaten by the vasari, as their moving almost unkillable starbases make short work of AI fleets.
The major problem with drastically increasing the resarch requirement and cost of the Titans, most Titans will never get build. If I need 16 labs and 30000 credits to build an Anklyon.. I am not building it.... it would not be worth the costs. So implementation of this means Eradica and Ragnarov... all other titans wont get build... there is also the issue that the game is often times already over when people reach that tech le
I also agree games focuses a lot around them but just disagree on some of your reasons why. I also don't think the player count being down has any direct relation to Titans being strong. Balance overall is probably a factor. But I think the real reason is just Rebellion didn't attract and hold onto enough new MP players as a whole and so it's normal over time to lose the playerbase from previous years. It needed more MP features to attract and hold onto players for a 2012 g
hmm oddski, reread the interaction, i think you'd see that there isn't much escalation of anything. Its called having a conversation. Please stop your escalation techniques. Thanks for the stream
For the past week ICO has been having some severe login and lag issues.
I've played a few games of Rebelllion yesterday. Game is still fundamentally broken. Issues like Wail are fairly easy to fix, biggest problem in my opinion are titans. Why titans ruin the gameplay: AoE too powerful. Ruins late game counter chain and dumbs game down to mindless carrier spamming. Survivability too high at levels past 4-5. They're easy to rebuild. Player who has been pretty much beaten can pull lv5 titan
Oh my god. You guys must be totally insane if you think moving starbases are not op.
Yes, the vasari starbase currently is OP. It will continue to be so until this aspect of game design is fixed.
Besides a moving TEC and Advent starbase would just look stupid..let them fix the problem with multiple Titans that the Vasari player can throw at you and that's it.
The game will still be imbalanced with their fix. I'm sure it won't be quite so insanely overpowered, yet fixing that is easy.
Any upcoming patches will just be clean up to already existing problems, not opening up a whole new set of balancing issues.
A sa
^ all you have to do is kick those poor slow moving ripped dudes directly in the knee to bring them down. What a waste of all that workout time. :)
The other Starbases will never move. That being said if the Devs could figure out a way to increase starbase range to the full planetary well without shooting thru the planets, that would be the way to go.
What gives you such certainty?
Frankly I do not care what anyone has to say, I'm not here out of hostility. If he wants to say I am wrong he can. I am not one of those people who can't handle it when someone else opinion is different from my own. I also do not see the point in this hostility towards one another here. This post was intended to brainstorm solutions/ideas for the game, not for petty squabbles about who is more intelligent and/or has the best solution. (I went back and read some more) E
The patent is not average. Its A common sense patent;; not a average thumb distance patent. The patented item is not the phone, but the design and technology inside it.. He who designs with common sense always patents to win anyways.
Indeed, there is a difference between patenting common sense and using common sense to design something that you then patent.
I have been reading this post and and skimming the replys and I do have an idea as to what I think, I just have some questions about this as I do not play as the Vasari (I prefer the TEC Loyalist) and would not like to humiliate myself by posting blindly without all the facts. 1) Does the Vasari Star Base move faster and/or slower then Capital Ships and Titans? 2) What weapons does it have and what range do they hav
Yes. This takes away from the uniquesness of the vasari.
okay, so the vasari use movement as their unique advantage for almost everything in this game, its true. Yet, by having the 2x fastest starbase, they still have a unique advantage because they do something better. They can still starbase uprotected worlds better then any other race because they have cheap, fast colony ships that can be lost in greater numbers and used with far less risk then that o
