Wow this thread has recieved over 1 million views. I hope that the game will come out! I hope they want my help because I'd love to work on that game!!!! Also, if the website dev's could add an achievement for having a post hit over 1 million views that would be kinda fun ;)

Also, I forgot to add this: Play more with Phase lanes and connections between the planets. Add types of phase lanes. I really think Phase Space is a special bit of the Sins IP that could really make the game shine in both gameplay and market presence. Having high density nests of phase lanes would be nice too, so that some areas become "explore chokepoints" that would allow for new explore strategies and the possibility of denser explore networks to allow a

Will you be able to make a game like Diablo 2? This sounds like a smart rapid innovation tool that gets to the point of finding the fun parts of a game. This could find a new formula that helps game designers make new and better games. I think this is great, getting back to the ol' brand eh Stardock? I can't wait to see how this develops!

I don't think Sins needs to be topped. I agree that bloating your team isn't the answer. I hope you're going more with slow build development when you have the time and have put enough concentrated thought and creativity into the design. There seems to be a MMO creativity cold war of sorts as many largely anticipated titles are coordinating a huge hype cycle yet not fully delivering. I see a lot of companies holding back and not wanting to release their pri
The devs made it clear, months ago, that Classic WOW will not be connected to WOW. At. All. Not even achievements or cosmetics can be transfered. It will be a separate game.
If people want it, they will make it. I personally don't see vanilla WoW as the right nostalgia play because they've mistaken what made their game great in the first place. They've lost some of their smartest peopl

So, nothing is exact because this is speculation. Blizzard would have the capability to play around extensively with time. Once the nostalgia factor is satisfied and the classic game starts to decline, they can start with the "alternate timeline" theory. Time portals could be as simple as transferring characters between the two realities and having epic clashes like the show "Fringe". If the new reality also has it's own unique expansions than it instantly becomes a mu

If Blizzard releases the classic WoW and then treats it as a new timeline, they have a fresh canvas to work from while keeping the old worlds relevant via "time portals" or something like it. This could bring the game a huge modernized idea that could help the franchise stay relevant. Many cool and new mechanics could be designed around that. If they could recreate your old guild raids and you act as an observer...They could use all that old data to make an incredible experi

@ Timmaigh Carpetbomb here, been away from Sins designing my board game Verrago: The Globe Game. That's a hint to fill in your new game needs with board games! While they don't allow the state refresh rates of computer games, I've been experimenting with many ways to have board games more efficiently simulate a strong player experience. You may know that I'm a huge strategy fan and I'm designing this board game for all of you Sins players and developers to take a loo

@ Frogboy Thanks for the consistent transparency about the pressing business issues that a gaming company has. This definitely helps influence myself and others in a positive way learning the sometimes horrible aspects of human nature and the modern struggle for the illusion of control. I'm just trying to add some silver lining to an otherwise horrible situation, I wish you Stardock Guys and Gals the best.

I think Bethesda in particular is getting so big that it wants a piece of the user data game, or at least manipulating their customers to give them really accurate feedback. I could see fallout76/eso6 as the right experiment for this. They know both IP's and how they perform in the market, they have huge established fan bases. I think Fallout 76 is a lucrative diversion that will create nostalgia later on, driving future game sales and promoting that brand. I t
We (Stardock/Ironclad) can't really discuss this presently. But as I've said before, we are listening. It is a significant challenge to top Sins of a Solar Empire without massively increasing the team size which would change our shared culture.
Thanks for the response Frogboy. Let us community folks know if you need help. We could do a grassroots kind of "support your fa

@ New Horizons The multi-threading also allows you to build the game differently when handling the AI. You can have more AI controlled processes acting independently while not slowing down the normal game loop. I can't wait to see what the Nitrous engine has in store for the future of RTS.
