Oh and here is a link to the massive collaborative MMO project, just to get an idea of what it was all about: http://www.moddb.com/games/infinity-the-quest-for-earth https://inovaestudios.com/ http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/241/Infinity-The-Quest-for-Earth.ht

If you never heard of Infinity: the Quest for Earth you would be surprised by the scope and scale of the I-Novae engine(real galactic dimensions with highly detailed procedural planets for every single one of the 400 billion stars in the game). Now, after an incredible time in development, they scaled down everything to just a single solar system, which I feel is a good choice. What is exciting about this game engine is that the developers can, at any point choose to add massive p

In it's own way, Life is Feudal is like a 4x style game as an MMO. We are looking for a few sinners to join me and my fellow compatriots on a really fun, fair and well organized PVP server for Life is Feudal. There are some amazing things about this game(and the server), and the game has only improved massively since the day it came out. When the game is finished and opens up to become the massive MMO, it will ultimately be a unique game experience. The bigger the
The pessimist in me is getting depressed that anyone could be this irrational. My optimistic streak has been killed off for good, no one would carry a joke this bad, this far.
It's not a joke and never has been, and it has been obvious from the original post. I'm a "Rear Admiral" investor in Star Citizen. Your optimism can only be killed by your own "hand", nobody else is responsible for what goes on
Ponzi Scheme means a specific thing it isn't a generic term for scam
Actually, it is a generic term for a scam, and that is how it's been used in this thread. Most people know in the general population that Ponzi Scheme is a scam. The details are easy to google. This new Star Citizen Scheme could be come to be known as the "Robert's Scheme", or the "Smart Scheme". You heard it first from me. :)
As a guy who has zero skin the game (I have never played Star Citizen or played any of Mr. Smart's games), this is exactly how Mr. Smart's blogs came across to me as I read through them. It feels like he is pissed off that Roberts easily procured millions in funding to make the game Mr. Smart always wanted to make but couldn't, likely due to lack of funding. It almost feels like deep down he is pissed at himself for not taking advantage of the opportunity
Smart isn't what you say he is because your history and present activities you drew out for him are factually inaccurate. Well the point of this is to drum up support! haha
Why have not more people raised their voices and said, "Please make us a new Sins?"
They will, but we have to build up the thread before they will notice, this forum is a bit quiet right now, probably more infrequent lurking than anything else...
Seems to me that a "closing man" is exactly what Star Citizen needs. It is the new definition of feature creep in my opinion.
And it's not a far stretch to think that the folks at star citizen may have thought of a creative solution.
Star Citizen has a marketing team of 1 person. On top of which they pay a total of $0.00 to anyone to market the game.
That is one way to look at it. Another way
If you have drawn together a vast conspiracy
Sorry I couldn't stop laughing. When does asking the question mean I have a vast conspiracy on my mind? What conclusions you like to jump to. That business practices transcend industries is the reality we live in. There is a lot riding on Star Citizen, I wouldn't want to see that game slaughtered on the altar of someone's ambitions, you know someone with a track record. &

Oh I actually read another series of emails he sent about a game he released around 8 years ago, he's popped onto my radar before, people on the internet airing dirty laundry. Same guy, same picture, terrible attitude. I don't remember any of the names or exact details, but he was part of a project feature slashing that ultimately ruined a game. It was quite clear by all parties that he was the guy that was hired by the investors to "ship the game or die trying", and

If you haven't been following the Star Citizen project, it's a good time to check it out, it is after all the largest crowdfunded project to date. Since it is an unusually successful outlier in crowdfunding scene, it's going to garner a lot of attention, not always positive. At the end of the day, any press is good press(much like this forum post), keeping the project rolling, keeping the hype wave and massive development team funded, the carrot of completing the "dre
A creative theory, but we haven't actually had much in the way of large disaster storms. It's been an extremely mellow couple decades for weather, contrary to all the doom and gloom soothsayers.
Oh it's not creative, and using averages to explain the outliers doesn't mean anything. The outliers are what we'd be looking for in the system, and there have been a few, like a few years back

Hmm I have a theory that global warming is the cover story for all the weather modification techniques used to force capitulation of aggressor states at the bargaining table via large "disaster" storms...

Hah, sins was "dead" before it went to steam. Now I don't think it will "die" until sins 2, as long as sins 2 doesn't suck. I'd like to playtest Sins 2 and be a voice (among others in the community) that tell the developers what they don't want to hear, but what they probably should hear. I hope the developers can take that criticism, it will make them a better product.

Looks like a smart move to me, advertise for the crossover to a new OS, show's that Stardock has definitely learned the lessons it should and are trying to push the tech so that they can in turn make better games. I for one wasn't considering windows 10 at all, this recommendation has given me pause to consider doing some research on it. I'm still going to wait for the full 6 months-1 yr. before I give it a chance though.

I have yet to see that quality matched by western mmo's. Black Desert is a game that seems to be positioning itself to be a real contender in the NA market. This looks like a monster of a game, with customization and features that already are very good. Just to note, In general I abhor asian games, the grindfest is just terrible, along with the childlike proportions of the art itself. Yet with a 3-5 year development cycle to remake the game for western audiences we
