During my gameplay (10 hours into my first game, 5 stars), I've fould myself using my mouse wheel like crazy. It's sensitivity to zoom from/to the marker makes for an easy and smooth jump a'la Black & White from one planet to the other; the more distance, the more wheeling. I definately encourage getting a mouse over a touchpad (I'd say that for any game anyways ^^). But settle for zoom hotkeys and scroll screen if you'd rather avoid getting a mouse :) should work fine.

Hmm, 'Prt Sc' never worked for me :P I'l try being a bit clearer, before trying to get screenshots. Although it's hard to be any clearer. In deep space view (full zoomed out), all you see is these 'nebulas', with explored planets either plain gray or in player/team colour. Zooming abit closer, the nebulas will fade to show the coloured 2D star picture, as designed in the game. Now, when I make a custom map and zoom out (to get an impression of proximity of the other sta
If you go customize a map yourself, you can preview it (looks like the 'play' button on the map generator window, but it spells 'preview'). Pre-made random maps (and custom maps, if you dont specify everything) should be fairly random each time you start a game with them. I'm new to this awesome game, but this is what I've experiences from starting a few games. As for cheats, I have no clue :)
Hey there :) New to Sins here, loving the concept ^^ I threw myself into trying a custom map, seems very nice! However, when I zoom out all the way, the stars disappear and don't get that bright galaxy nebula that I've seen in the premade maps. Anyone has a clue? Thanks :)
