if you have too many heavy battle cruisers then self terminate them and buy the battle frigates they take are able to double the amount of the fleet size and are very powerful in groups. hint:If your TEC thenCobalts are deadly to fleets that require amounts of antimatter which is basically every shipit just requires the research.

unlike JC i had the same problem as him but dont copy his line of thinking (no offence JC) the problem with his solution is that its wrong.e.g the advent send medium scouting parties abit like raids really also the vasari do this with planet killing ships. THEY ALWAYS HAVE A MOTHER FLEET! this is comprized of heavy upgraded battleships. if your TEC then your scout ships have atomatic explore you just really have to turn it on... you see unlike JC's methods I always base my priorities on facts

12 kol battleships with upgraded gause cannons and 4 carriers should out number any battle ship fleet. this is because the advent base their numbers on unmanned fighters and bombers so when you look at the numbers they out number you.my trick is to form an alliance with the vasari early in the game because their weapons are closer to advent tech, this is because they are not projectile weapons like the tec. also vasari ships are no longer warship based because their people live on those ships
whats the point any way... it takes too long to research to and wastes crucial recources whereas the gause defence cannons are brilliant, i have been developing defencive techniques to reduce or atleast hold off an invading fleet just until my reinforcements arrive.
