I have loved what little I have played of SINS Rebellion but..... WHY DID WE NOT HAVE ALL THE RACES FROM THE START?! I am sorry but this is kind of a BS way to balance the game. The only way way any form of game balance can be done is if all the races are playable from the start so you see when one is just pwning the other and adjust for it. Right now I am sure a lot of the balance changes that have been might reversed or something else needs to be instead. Sorry I just am mad I can fire my p
I can see ships-of-the-line standing still to slug it out, but certainly smaller ships should be moving around more to dodge incoming fire. The problem is that all that movement adds performance penalties and makes clicking on units difficult, not to mention it would be time-consuming to implement. The gameplay benefits, if there even are any, probably don't outweigh the costs involved and because Sins aims to be fun, and not realistic, it
Quoting RiddleKing, reply 148 Tec were given insane repair abilities and rampant economy-but can't kill titans vs higher level titans- is it the devs fault? I think its your fault. Advent were given repulse against corvettes and titans, drone hosts that can quickly reach 80 squads with 2 halcyon's, starbase with up to 20 squads of bombers, sexy looking corvettes and the ability to steal
Now on combat in Space. I have my own Sci-Fi Story that besides, FTL, shields and Energy weapons(Kintic bolts) and anti Grav and gravity, Realism is an important focus. Fights in space with any shields means you have to get around, bring them down, or force an over load in the system. That means just staying back at thousands of miles is point less. Lazors can just be reflected of a shield's if you make it a like a mirror. That means getting in closer range to use Kintic energy bolts and
Yeah I feel the same way... tonight people might show up in masses
Too all who hate steam...... Its point less. Its a good service and I wished Sins was on steam from day one. Still if you have that much problems with service that provides games at cheap prices and good community resources please fine some other hobby. I made this thread to point out a good preview and hopefully discuss the GAME not steam. You guys are in the vocal minority nothing more. So if there is any mod or Admin out there please lock this thread.. Its purpose is over.
Quoting martox1, reply 15whats wrong with steam? That's one giant can of worms. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/417948 starts mid page and goes on several pages from there.
Yeah thanks for ruining a good thread people.... SWEET. I am out of classes most of that month. Great times... [e digicons][/e]
Irelia builds are fairly flexible. You can go with pretty much any reasonable combination of the normal tanky DPS items. That means TriForce and/or Wit's End for your damage, and then the efficient defensive items (Randuins, BV, FH etc). You can also do Warmogs/Atmas if you want, but thats just not an efficient build IMO.
I am Irelia fanatic but I have learned slowly how to play her right in ranked so
I am really sold on this Idea. I loved sins when I learned about its combo of different RTS systems. This is werid combo but I love moba games. Minons being smart... who'd though? That turns the whole last hit farming meta of MOBA out the window because the the minons could just all focus you and a hero pops out of nowhere to finish you off. Good change indeed.
I love league of legends and Sins.... is this like a match made in heaven..?! An RTS MOBA GAME?!@ XD
Right now of what I have played of at the FASTER settings it almost perfect speed for the game online. Any more and you ruin the fundamentals of what makes SINS unique. Sorry, but really not much needs done to the game except balancing a few things and boosting the online player count via rebellion having good online match maker and manger.
Yeah, I LOVE that mechanic... but I'm curious how it will be balanced. going to be interesting
The Vasari already are insanely mobile late game. This will just add to that which is very nice. The main goals I have with them is to get around enemy hold outs. They win fleet encounters by playing on their terms. Its why I main Vasari to this day. Mobility is everything.
Really cool preview and the I love the routes Ironclad is taking with TEC Loyalists and Rebels.
If you play Moba games you have enough time to play this game. Pretty much this a super RTS with how big and expansive online games get.
Well, I decided to make the plunge back into Sins Online after after trying to learn it back in 2008 and 2009. First game was a loss but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was unprepared for how fasted paced it was but loved the dynamics of the sins RTS complexity and yet simplicity. I don't think anyone would remember me but I am glad to be back and am willing to relearn this one of kind RTS again and thanks for putting up with a noob vet (I got pretty good but then moved on to other games. Plus
Just let me have that Vasari fleet. MUST HAVE THE DARK FLEET!!!!
I Should really play online again on my beast BF3 machine....... Derp. Maybe, Maybe.
This^. I am afraid that Caps will still not be that viable. I want caps to be strong but Sins online so far has not favored Capital ships at all. Their cost per damage is just still too great. If that fixed some how capital ships would come viable IMO.
Its still about an Hour of set aside time. An uninterrupted hour. All games I play your not hurt as badly if you have leave for a min or two. Sins...... its over sometimes in that amount. For me the investment vs reward on sins online is just not worth my time. Maybe rebellion........ not right now.
Pretty much I gave up on Sins online.... its great but too demanding for just ONE game. I can pick and drop just about any other game out there but Sins time requirement for ONE full game is just too much and then to get stomped because don't the current meta makes it even worse. There is thing to be said for sins and is uniqueness but if you want to have any fun online your going to need some big blocks of time set aside. I play a lot of games online but none of them require this much in
I will join the fray of online ICO when Rebellion comes out. I am glad they will push multiplayer this time.
I happy to see this. I tried ICO back in the day but didn't do that great..... Have had much more success in PC Fps's since (have a bit of a name for my self in Crysis 2) but I am looking forward to coming back to the PC's true genre epic space RTS's.
So it seems the evil advent rule of sins has finally fallen. [e digicons][/e] We Vasari will always will rule. [e digicons]}:)[/e] OK, it seems we have moved on to a new imbalance. Could we just give up and play some of the great mods like DS that do have balance. Ironclad never has had sins balanced and never will.
Hey Blackhawk I am in the same boat as well. I had to give up sins because it took to much time away from school and my life. Plus I had to go and get an Ipod touch to make the adicction to games worse. I both are gone. My parents took the ipod, but I realize sins had to go. I will play again during the summer but when I go to college in the fall no more sins. [e digicons][/e]
