Ever thought of trying to make the Flagship like the home planet: you can choose it but you only get one at a time and that ONE has up stats across the board. Just another thought: make each CAP turned flag have a unique aura based on class that it gives to it fleet. Battle=damage Siege=range stuff like that.
In order to reduce lag, in the Mod I have been making, I have removed trading from the game with great success on the lag front. My dilemma now is how to make trading ports and refineries worthwhile to research and build. For the research, I have already redone parts of it to include tax increase and extraction rates. Now I need to figure out what to do with the actual buildings. I have come up with the idea of giving trade ports and refineries a stacking ability to imitate trading. I've trie
SO dumb that something like this would be hard coded.
So i take it since its in the "Hard Code" forum that means i wasted 3hrs?
Anyone know how to get CAP ships to have a higher max level then 10? like 15? Just spent like 3hrs giving extra levels to ALL CAP ship abilities, changing the "gameinfo" folder (CAP xp system, hudicons,) and dont want it to be wasted. Is there something i'm missing? Please help soon.

Trying to add a new angle to my mod: no shields for TEC. Problem i am having is in balence. Upping armor and HP is easy, but what i really need is shield mid. Anyone know if you can get shield mid. to stay without having shields on a ship?

NVM think i just got it to work
NVM just got a gui to work.
The GUI.exe wont even open. i get that message and it never opens. and the only text file is the instructions.
thanx a bunch but WinRAR or WINzip wont extract them. says the CRC failed and the files are corrupt.
Trying to make a mod for my friends and i and cant get any of the GUI convers to work for me. could someone help me out by uploading the base un-modded game info for 1.03 already covered to text? would be a huge help.
everytime i run the GUI i get an error message reading "can not find user data in C:\Users\********\AppData\Local\IroncladGames\Sins of a solar empire" i looked there and user data is in the Setting folder there. i even went as far as to reinstall SoaSE and it still wont work. any ideas would be helpful
