Or I could do is in-depth analysis's and short story for each of the technologies that are researched as codex entries at the end or beginning of each chapter.
Someone should also write "The Fall of the Vasari Empire" a story of the exodus of the Vasari as forced on them by the Darkness, or another race that would be the Vasari ancient enemy. I think something like that story would go under the "Creation of Sins" part in the subheader of your topic.

Anyone can write and propose whatever they wish. Yes, not only watch what POV you choose to give it, but also past vs. present tense. You want to pick one and stick with it. That can be easily checked on editing, whereas POV is something you have to nip in the bud from the get go. If you have trouble telling a first person story without switching from person
Take it in major phases. Book 1: The Vasari attack Book 2: The Advent attack Book 3: The forces entrench Book 4: Diplomacy starts up Book 5: The rebellions erupt Each would have plenty of flashbacks and allusion to give greater detail to the past. For stories like entrenchment and diplomacy, there will be more focus on the turning tides of battle or political intrigue. You would ha

For example, a Trader who lives on one of the first planets hit by the Vasari in part 1 may end up fighting in the insurgency in part 3...an Advent who reb

Hey everyone. I've been down through these forums often enough to see a lot of people want a better storyline, or campaign, or just overall plot to SOASE. I (some time ago) thought of writing a book about it and i plan on using all the names of ships (Classes, Randomized names, etc.) and i sent a letter to Stardock Entertainment about it, seeing if they want to put their 2 cents in about it and allowing me to use all their copyrighted names. Sadly, I have yet to hear a reply. But, in the

Multi-threading is not used effectively, if at all, with the result that my almost-ancient QX9650 never hits 100% on a single core with Sins running, never mind pushing the remaining cores. ok. you guys are saying that due to that future tech they would already have all that solved. yes i agree. that would be in the TECH TREE! the advancements of increased re usability of air by recycling it: TECH TREE! the ability to turn energy into food (not my suggestion but): TECH TREE! and as for ammo, lasers and plasma DO require ammo, its just in the form of Energy for Lasers and (Antimatter or just condenssed plasma) for Plasma! and yes there are bullets for the TEC. the kodiak is the b
I'm thinking space-time warp that allows ships to jump at will
there is a mod for that. it replaces "infallible jump drive" in the tech tree and replaces it with a new tech (i think the name stays the same) and it allows you to jump to any planet no matter the distance (time will still accumulate) in the solar system. you still have to use a star to change systems mind you.

also i just want to say this, i find that the Vasari have let me down in one place that counts: their super weapon. i understand it targets the structures above the planet and renders ships near useless, but i think the Novalith has it beat. destroying the planets population and leaving its structures useless is far more efficient than just damaging them. and at least with the deliverance engine you can convert the other planet to your side via rebellion.
