Ok, I admit my understanding of Advent mechanics has just been revised somewhat. The SR+SP doesn't look as stronk as it used to. However, I still think it's better than you claim. I will (try) not to produce another wall of text to justify everything because we've drifted as far away from the subject as we could, talking about Advent anti-aoe capability as if the thread was not about a heavily lacking vasari cap ship. I will just comment one last thing about SR, be

@ Frostflare If you look through the forums, there are at least 3 posts where I explain shield mitigation to newcomers in full detail and get karma for it. Trust me, I did not forget about it. Ad. 1. You claim that hull is more valuable, because you are getting your hull damaged with maxed shield mitigation, while your shields go down faster because the ship is only building up mitigation when the shields get hit. The facts you present are true, but the claim i

Thank you guys for contributing to the thread in such a serious and constructive manner. It's nice not to have to deal with trolls within two posts from the OP at least this once. @ Agaricus (first post) - you analyzed my suggestions thoroughly and gave constructive opinions, for this you have my thanks. However, please remember that my suggestions are just drafts, the main point of the message being to make Rankulas truly associable with the words "nanite" and "swarm". In m

Hello, I would like to point at a certain problem with sins that prevents me from enjoying this game fully in beyond-early-game scenarios. The problem is not the graphical/FPS lag that comes with all the visual goodies or the amount of stuff that needs to be processed. That's well understandable. The problem is the input lag , the asynchronic processing of clicks and mouse movements. As an example, let's say you h

If it was up to me, I'd change the Rankulas as follows (of course things could change with balancing): 1. Combat nanite swarm cost - 30 AM duration - 120/140/160/180 seconds cooldown - 25/20/15/10 seconds nanite swarms increase effectiveness with with cap ship level only, not the level of this ability. The end result should be that a Rankulas with CNS at level 4 is theoretically able to field up to 18 combat swarms (if it is willing to dump all antimatt

It is generally better to have a more diversified fleet... but not when this is the alternative. Think about it. Let's say you have x capital ships as Vasari in semi-late game. What are they going to be? 1. You definitely have an Egg. Dont' lie. 2. You have a kortul. If you don't have that, you are likely going to die to bombers and you'll also have zero control over enemy capital ships' abilities. You need a blo

Thanks Agaricus, I might just resort to digging through the files indeed. And then, when I'm pissed enough, I will update the wikia myself with properly detailed information, at least in the titan-related sections, which are a complete black hole right now apart from some general tips that cannot be confirmed because they refer to abilities which have no details provided.

Hi again. It was probably repeated and is now common knowledge, but I just recently started playing rebellion and I can't believe what I see. And what I see is: Rankulas , the new Vasari cap, is an utter, complete, undeniable piece of garbage . Please explain to me what I'm doing wrong cause I just can't get it. It's just a nerfed down Skirantra for all I can see! Combat nanite swarm - creates a c

Thanks Ryat, I'll look on steam forums. I've been through the wikia already. In fact, in my older days I used to contribute to it quite extensively (e.g. well over half of the Kortul's page is mine). Sadly, in very many places it either has outdated info or the information is limited to copy-pasting ingame tooltips, which are very incomplete (e.g. Nano leech doesn't say what it targets... which is kinda key to understand, ain't it? :) ).

Hi folks. After a long break from Sins, I'm sinking into it again with Rebellion and the DLCs. Same game, more options, more fun. Seems to be more optimized as well o.O . Anyway, my biggest issue with the game right now is the lack of comprehensive and up-to-date info on abilities, most importantly about titans. Do you know of some place where I could find such info? Some particular questions regarding titans are (all questions Vasari-biased ; I'm a Vasar

Yeah I remember this problem from ever since I bought Sins vanilla. It literally can last up to 15 minutes if you're trying to quit a 10 AI, 200+ planet game that's been going on for 8+ hours. Because of this I never exit the game normally from the score screen; instead I ALT+F4 and restart the game. If you've just got out of a big and long game, it's a hundred times faster this way... ALT F4 works instantly, game launch takes some 20 seconds max.

Ironclad - please play haegemonia: legions of iron. Watch the effects when a starbase or a dreadnought is killed. Now THAT'S how it should look like.

In all seriousness, I believe IC/SD don't give a crap about what we think of Steam. If I were in their shoes, I'd think like this: "Okay so there is a group of weirdos who loathe Steam... but there is probably a dozen times more people who just LOVE Steam, who sit on steam all day and will very likely get Rebellion just because it showed up on Steam. So - kthxbye".

Reply to Titans in Sins Rebellion

How about this, for the Vasari Loyalist titan: Once every couple of minutes (10? 20?), the titan can jump two phase lanes at once, skipping one gravwell completely. Upon arrival, it creates a phase stabilizer node for a short time (just enough to have an already prepared fleet jump in behind it). Vasari loyalists are supposed to be the aggressive 'blitzkrieg' faction if I understood the latest interview correctly, so this would give them a nice spin in that direction,

1. Ships maneuvering, arcing turns, bumping into roids . Luckily that is supposedly getting fixed. 2. Damage table rebalancing to make it more diverse (i.e. all sorts of spams should be more easily stopped, be it LRFs, scout or bomber spams) 3. Rebalancing of tech trees . There are currently many research paths that are ineffective (e.g. Vasari volcanic
