ok i'll have to check that but i thought it whould be cruiser based like the rest and didnt notice drones having that ability, thanks for the help.

ok heres a group of screen shots i took to show that the cruiser that builds the vasari starbase doesnt show up on my game [IMG]http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/agentx1/stuff.jpg[/IMG] when it didnt show up in the cruiser section i checked both others incase there was a mess up but it didnt show up in those either. in the pic is all 3 of my upgrade pages and the ships that are avalable to me (all but the starbase cruiser). anyone else have this problem yet? or just

from what i've seen the range should be increased to half the grav well and u should be aloud to build 2 or 3 bases to cover a planet and the price should be dropped a bit to compensate for the additional bases. i agree with the time it takes to build them though in the sense that if ur building them in controlled or nuetral grav wells its half the time it would take to build one in enemy grav well

i like #s 3&4, being mainly a first person shooter kinda guy i enjoy games such as soase and eaw/foc when i can get lots of big ships (since with sins i cheat and have huge armadas lol{in single player of course}) i dont really need #4 but its nice for ppl who like to play the game straight and honest but arent nesaceraly an rts/4x fan

sry for double post. ok support got back to me and suggested i download SDcentral as it doesnt allow dl of the 1.1/1.11 patch and should still have the 1.05. anyof you that want to revert for whatever reason can get SDCentral here: http://sdc.stardock.com/sdcentral_setup.exe thanks for all the help guys :)

well i checked the cpu usage and it doesnt seem to be the problem as only ~45% of it is being used and 60% of the ram. even after ocing my gfx/cpu more i still dont notice a difference. i had the vram up to 1300mhz and still no improvement :(. i want my 1.05 patched game back. i also sent a ticket in to support when i started this thread and still havent herd back. to get good performance on that single card set up try these clocks (if ur using the 98gtx+) core 770mhz, shaders 1944mhz, a

i dont run any anti virus or firewall other than the windows one. anyway i turned bloom off and i got a small boost in fps from 8 to 25-26 and highs of 40 but they never last long (that was with sli on) with sli off i got highs of 30 and lows of 15 but they mainly hovered around 25 (but were still a bit choppy). im going to try and oc my rig a bit more and see if that does anything but i firmly believe that its the patches fault so if you know were i could find the 1.05 i'd appriciate

thanks for the post, im worried b/c this happen only after i updated my setup (sli and all) worked great with bloom and all and now wont work for ****. i'll try ur suggestion though and turn bloom and sli off and see if it helps at all.

well i updated my game to 1.11 and got a few surprises 1 lost all my previous saved data. replays, game saves etc. 2 (and most important of the 2) i lost a huge chunk of performance i used to be able to run the game maxed at 1680x1050 with 4aa and was getting 60fps in huge battles (300-500 ships) after patching though im barely getting 8fps with no aa and only 100 ships combined. now i wanted (and tried) to get the 1.05 patch but b/c its not posted anywere on the

ok well i play the game with everything on highest, screen res at 1680x1050 and was getting 60 fps before the 1.11 patch (with the 1.05) so is there anyplace i can get it since i cant find a download online as i think impulse is the only way u can get it. thanks for the help :)

lol ya but that might cost alot of metal lol. the reason i say that the stealth is detectable be capitols is b/c other wise u could build a stealth ship cheap and detect all of them making it only detectable to caps means u have to use more strategy when deploying caps to system

hey, ya i herd that an expansion is in the works but i thought i'd get this out there just to see what the community thought. i aggree that there isnt much to the non military aspect of the game and as great it is it should have an opposite to the stellar (excuse the pun) combat system. thanks for the info :)

ok well after installing the 1.11 patch and playing for a bit i noticed i was getting lag, which is strange for me since it played fine with the 1.05 patch with the same settings. anyway i uninstalled the game so i could reinstall it into the 64 bit directory but when i go to select it (in the advanced install option) it wont let me select it it stays stuck on C:\program files (x86)\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire. at first i thought it was b/c impulse was installed in the x86 (32bit) d

ok well these are my thoughts to make the game as real world as possible (for obvious reasons since its a sci-fi game and all). the main thing would be deplomecy. when u start a game u and all other factions are neutral and are all able to trade peacfully. make a player/bot then choose to declare war or for an alience. the idea here being that the bot can choose alies and have those alies actially help, as would the alies you choose. more over if u and ur enemy are alied with a common
