If he has a fleet of 90% carriers, you might not want to jump your capital ship into the same grav well. Let flak/corvettes and light frigates (for the carriers themselves) do their work and at the most just sit your Titan on the edge of the well for xp but ready to escape if health drops too low - carriers suck at chasing anything.

Personally I think making corvettes into Titan killers is a terrible idea. As it stands already, you can mass bombers or LRMs to kill Titans if you don't have one (and if you don't have one, you should have a LOT more cash to afford a much larger fleet). Corvettes are already effective enough at what they do without encouraging spamming them even more against Titans.

You must've been tired tier when typing cause both new games you linked are the same ^^ and it's the minidump game so it's unwatcheable unfortunately.
gg guys - lots of intense 1v1 action in this one across the map. I liked Greg's hanger bays on the asteroid as a better D-fense vs. Vasari than a SB (fighters for LRMs, bombers for SB).
Then you've micro'ed your ships very poorly.
Also ICO has full map sharing support for random maps via the map designer, so even if they don't add more, a random map community pack could be feasible, as only the hosts would need to have them.
Is this new with 1.04? Because I know DirtySanchez made a community map pack but could never get people to d/l it to use them - everyone needed to d/l it to all play together.

Needs some tweaking maybe. The fact that there is no limit to the number of ships it deals damage to might be a point to change. It doesn't matter if you have a massive fleet or a small fleet - so maybe a cap on the number of targets i
It's mostly Vasari bombers with phase missiles vs Advent Titans and caps relying on shields more than hull points where you notice it.
Fighters are doing poorly against bombers even in even numbers
This isn't true at all - you only need ~1/2 the number of fighters to beat bombers. As long as you are prepared, fighting bomber spam isn't that hard. Flak, fighters, corvettes, take your pick - just be mindful of getting your capitals or Titan sniped before the anti-bomber force can do its work.

Wat?? I guess because no one plays them online I've been unaware of this ability. Are you telling me the VR starbsae Shared Network tech allows allies, Vasari or not, to ignore phase lanes and jump directly through space to whichever planet the SB is at?? Wow, the Devs must've been smoking some powerful stuff when they thought that would be balanced.

Thanks man - I actually don't feel like I did a lot in this game until near the end though - my allies did a good job pushing both lanes up the sides and I was just supporting them economically until I pushed through to the other half of the map. I guess from my end it does show AL in eco slot. I've had some much better games recently as far as balanced teams and action but unfortunately I'm getting hit with the exit minidump crash about every 3rd game so quite a few end up unwatc

By that point in the game, I didn't care as much about income from trade - I had enough income coming in already for at least 2 players so it was better invested in pushing military strength, culture, and consolidating position I felt. I felt bad for JakeMac when I watched the replay as the guy got the absolute shittiest starting position I have ever seen in a game.
Thought I'd post this 5v5 game since it's the first time I've played Advent Loyalists while managing to pretty much get all the tools in their kit out. Even features some Deliverance Engine happy vibes... I'm in the eco slot and manage to get a pretty long spread of empire and use the Evangelization Nodes on Starbases to really push the culture into enemy territory. Coward's submission is actually decent in this situation as any enemy fleets trying to push all the
Lol, I was thinking of Norse mythology names like Mjolnir for Titans when making my post above and noticed I'd typed Ragnarok (The battle of gods at the end of the world) instead of Ragnarov - I imagine they lifted that name from the Norse one anyway though.
I don't usually rename stuff but if I did I would probably go with things like: Ragnorak: Large Hadron Collider Ankylon: Stegosaurus or Triceratops or Mecha-Armadillo-Chan Eradica: Avalokitesvara or Asura
Yeah, it's not been that successful. The trolling aside, mentees are often too passive. Myself, Seleuceia, Red Ruby, and King Kaing are often online and have stated intent to help so we should probably just leave the onus on mentees to get online themselves, add us, communicate, whatever to get some practice games in.

Cool - that makes 4 people so far willing to teach the finer aspects of MP games. Has anyone actually heard from a mentee though? I've added one but he's never on anymore...maybe just not enough newish players even visit the forums or they just want to keep it cashualll...
