@op i think its somewhat worth the money, after buying and trying to play online, i would suggest that you base your decision on, whether or not u play online. If you want the game to play online - i would wait, there are some crazy issues atm, desync included, when they are fixed and up the standard of online performance we can expect from a modern game then i would say buy it, until then hold off. IF u want the game for offline play - id say bu

i dont think Starbases should have anti SC weapons. If im playing TEC i use hanger defences (with flak) next to the starbase filled with fighters to destroy other SC while i leave the SB to kill the fleet backed up by gauss cannons If im playing advent i will have a few hangers with fighters and some SC upgrades to the SB.

I have been testing out the online with a few friends, 4 in game at one time with some 1v1 and 3FFA games. It dosnt matter which one of us hosts or how many people are in game we have lag coming out the wazoo. We have been playing through ICO, but we actually get a smoother game with less lag if we play on hamachi O.O. I dont think its out internet speeds/ping cos when we use hamachi it runs fine, its only when we go on ICO that we get lag. Is there something we are miss

i agree that as it stands its too easy to get Titans, and the point where u get them, i.e early/mid they just wreck everything. The only 2 options as i see it are 1) to nerf Titans heavily to have them act as heavy capital ships instead of super units 2) bring Titans into the game later so there awesome power can be countered more easily by strong fleets.

im going to throw my vote in for boshimi336's idea to have Titans as Heavy Capital Ships so they are just another choice of ship type instead of super central game points or as boshimi336 put it 'I WIN THE GAME SHIPS IF I BLOW YOUR TITAN UP FIRST!'

I just want some sort of time frame, "finished when its finished" is very bad idea especially from a business standpoint. Im having a hard time keeping 4 of my friends interested, and all I have to say is "its progressing" and that "yeah the Beta is movin on nicely" from what i can gather im lying. They are not as interested as I am and are not willing to pay for a unfinished product, when there is no idea when it will be finished. By all means continue the staged Beta but at least give every

I dont buy the balancing argument, fighting vs an identical copy of yourself you will always be balanced. It like saying who would win in a fight Chuck Norris or Chuck Norris its always gunna be Chuck Norris The biggest thing IMO is there is no lite at the end of this tunnel. With no release schedule for the various stages of this Beta, eg releasing the Advent, then after so long releasing the Vasari. It just seems to be dragging on forever and ever and ever.</

Steam is ok, no better than a disk IMO but no worse either. Only things i have against steam are the fact that brand new games are ALWAYS £5-£10 more expensive than retail which is silly considering the lack of overheads. Also it takes me 30 mins to go to shop, buy and install game. Cos my internet is only 5Mb/s it takes a lot longer on Steam. I do think it should be one or none though. I.E we have only ONE digital distribution method, i would opt for s

Rebellion is to Sins what Forged Alliance was to Supreme Commander. Its not an expansion its not a sequel. Slightly less that a sequel, slightly more than expansion, it shall henceforth be known as EXPANQUEL!!!!

@Sagew Dont forget that shields also benefit from shield mitigation if the numbers on the sins wiki are accurate then a capital ship can have shield mitigation of 74.9% meaning the shields will only take 25.1% of the damage, in order to get this much reduction from armour you would need to have 30+ armour. This is balanced out by the fact that mitigation requires being the ship being hit to increase. But a well timed shield boost&
