I don't like playing online because it seems like no matter how much experience you have playing in SP, the multi-player scene will always be one step ahead.
That is just fear though. Even the best fall in some funny ways in this game. Today in one game I had my home planet destroyed before we evn got fleets out really. Hard to explain but it wasn't my fault. My units spread out to much and I di

Online the lag seems far more minimal. However there seems to be a higher chance of a minidump.

Yea most people play single because not to many people have the time to in one sitting waste a few hours. I don't nearly get as many online games as I wish I could. In shooters you jump into a game with in seconds and mintues later you can leave when you have something else to do. Low online player count is usually low in most RTS games accept for maybe ones that have very quick games like starcraft had.
1) Don't build flak (as of version 1.3)
I dis-agree. I have tried the AA frigates+hoshiko spam a few times now with the TEC(since I don't really play as TEC when I do I try something weird) and it has workd wonders. I stole the idea of a replay I watched here. It works insanely great if you mass on them.

Most games get patches to fix the performance and memory leaks but I have not seen Stardock anounce a performance fixing p
Quoting Agent of Kharma, reply 7 If you make a "hard choke" two decent players will play forever. Two perfect players who always make perfect decisions will always play forever on a balanced game. That's with a hard choke, or without a hard choke. The choke has nothing to do with it. So, it boils down to what kind of game you want - a game with a more "open" flavor, or a game with a more "closed" flavor. I'd

Yea, right now we just stomped on AI because he wants to get the hang of it a little bit. I also got 2 other people to get the game. One still need entranchment. We play entranchment. We will see if they jump online.

...whaaaat? How do they crush you with the SB? It dies before it ever finishes building in my gravity well. If they rush for it let them, they are a defense, maybe offense for vasari if they have something to keep you busy with but a rush with one...eh.

If you make a "hard choke" two decent players will play forever. They will throw units at their choke points forever to no vain ever. Only to have the choke points rebuilt. That is why the game allows some slack on the choke in my opinion. After all, this is space and some open ends are going to always be there. I don't mind the way the game is. I think the SBs are fine. The are tough to take out and sometimes require entire fleats to ta

I used to be able to take screen shots with the print screen key but now the game just pauses and never takes a screen. I go to eh folder and there is nothing there. :(

Anyone ever think that the capships they run into have more upgrades in shields and weapons than yours? My radiance always puts up a good fight against any other cap ship out there. Though if you are running into peoples gravity wells with just cap ships you are in for a world of hurting.

No problems finding some kind of game. If there isn't a comp stop there is usually a vs. I prefer vs but some of my friends just got the game so they want to comp stomp for practice.

Cap ships are designed to compliment a fleet nicely and lead one, not freaking be one. Some people build them thinking that because they are bigger more expensive ships that they will mow and steam roll through every ship that is not a capital ship. Doesn't work in groups. I don't get more than 2 for a long time. I only get them also when a have a fleet for one or will make af fleet.

Usually when I quit I have no choice, my PC or the program decides that fate for me. Was playing a great 3vs3 when my PC just went blank. However I think that it just quits and the AI takes over in that case.

My brother finally broke down and got himself a copy of sins after liking it by trying mine at version 1.05 only. He puts his code in and email and it tells him as usual that the confirmation email is sent. It has been 2 hours and no email. When he tries to re-register it tells him his account already is taken because HE MADE ONE most likely? I thought this is this sent out by a bot or what? He has his own copy of the game, however my CD was used to first
