I've got the issue as well. I thought a C2D E8500, 4GB Dominator, HD4870 would be able to handle Sins, clearly it's not. It's impossible to enjoy the game with huge maps, it gets so slow that the time you need to finish the map by the end is so much longer than just a regular sized map. Maybe simply disabling ALL trade/refinery fleets would have an impact. It's a lot of shi
Sins was designed to run on low spec machines. Everytime I have seen major lag from players when doing MP games, the issue is either a bottled internet connection or they are running it on high(est) settings, which their rig cannot handle.
Strange I get lag almost every game with only one fleet for everyone (say 6 players) on a single solar system. No matter what the settings are.
Oh and please add me on ircon clad for games as a friend :) .."love9sick" as name on there.
Anyone get this feeling ?: It has been bugging me. So lately I have been playing on Iron Clad. I now have 3 wins and 0 loses and was playing my 4th game yesterday. I joined a game 3vs3. One of our team mates was being sandwiched and was getting team tagged. So me and the 3rd guy went economy and some military. IT WORKED, we fed him enough that he held them off while we sent fleets to the other guys home planets and crushed everything on the way.

So we can judge if you are qualified to make the statement!!!
Oh yea that is a good excuse for not having to fix a problem. Saying that it is to hard to fix. Not to mention that the game advertises all over the place that you can have epic battles with thousands of un

No it wasn't instant, but it's not supposed to be. He even used final protocal when it was about to die, but most of my fleet was way out of range and I only lost the starfish. Ahhh the more things change the more they stay the same. First people complained that there were no good defe
I'm sick and tired of super hero movies. I'm out. It is probably just another nasty computer generated graphics effects slug fest.

You people kidding me? we gonna start down grading the advent? they are the weakest of all currently. I always like to play as the underdogs. The stupid TEC Hoshiko prevents anything from dying, I freaking swear. I can't counter mass anything with Hoshikos.
Yea just added another 2 gigs of ram which suprisingly Vista recognized of what seems like most of it. No improvement in the game. Hoever instead of usage of ram being 93% it is at 60% usage of full settings . Still lags the same though.
I had this issue wiht 1.05 and than it was gone after that patch.
X-fire started crashing my games. I stopped launching it ever since.

MOONS!!!! where the hell are the moons? Planets have moons, the space debri rocks that have the extractors on them should have been moons.
You know you play to much Sins of a Solar Empire when you watch a Discovery or History channel special on planets and the universe and you think to yourself that the phase lanes must be off and hit Alt on your keyboard.
When you log into impulse, impulse checks your installed games and auto installs the updates. That is in my case at least. Find ver. 1.15 for SoaSE on Impulse. The update is free.
