not sure if its been addressed, but do you think you'll add new Grav Well types that reflect stuff from stargate? so like blackholes, different types of nebulas, goauld fortress worlds, ancient relic worlds and human outposts? ETC ETC?
And calling someone a troll, flamer or bully for stating an opinion that differs from your's and especially threatening to report him to the mods is quite childish IMHO.
and pulling out the 'build a bridge a get over it' card is no better. Raistlin has the opportunity to say: i dont like SG1, and he has the opportunity to clarify it further if he wishes. however, he didnt, he came in with his flamebat a-burning looking for a fight, and trying to justify his position wit
Problem with using a normal projectile, firing at .99 C the speed of light, according to newtons laws, all the energy that goes into the proctile, goes into the cannon itself. AKA- that is one large recoil!
what is a normal projectile? do you mean like a railgun slug? because there is no recoil from magnetic weapons. and in order to fire what is essentially a massive bullet in space, you would need a MASSIVE and extremely effecient propellant... and why
HOLY FUCKING CAPSLOCK, CAPTAIN
rofl [e digicons]k1[/e]
i think the problem is people are playing with a tickbox style approach. as in: first second third regardless of what the enemy is doing people used to spam LRF because they were hard to counter now, there is a unit that effectively devastates an LRF spam, and is exceptionally cheap to create. so (the 'immature') people are crying because their step by step guide to winning doesnt work anymore, instead of changing their tactics. like others have
2) Will there be a "normal tech tree" version of the mod for people who like a quick 1v1/2v2 small map?
you arent meant to max the tech tree on small/quick games...
two small glitches ive found: 1: when a frig factory or cap ship factory is destroyed while building something, the ship it was building is still visible after the structure is destroyed (this is without any of the extra mini mods enabled) 2: pirates tend to attack whomever they please. i had an asteroid 2 jumps away from a pirate base that had another phase lane to the local star. yet, the pirates attacked me instead of going the more direct route to the target with the most
Anyone have more news on that?
pfft, not with Information Nazis IC at the helm...
sorry if i missed it, but what does Ryats Powerful Pirates mod do exactly? i mean, i can guess, but from what i heard, pirates in the normal mod were pretty powerful, so, have standard mod pirates gone back to normal and if you want more powerful ones, add the extra mod or?
Problem with making a GalaxyForge map is its not an actual Custom Battle Ground. You have to build your fleet like any other game bringing the issues of rushing.
there is a mod out there called The Dome Mod or something like that? basically, as i understand it, you start on a single planet with lots of resources and logistics spots, and a phase disruptor that prevents phase jumping in or out. that structure i

what are you talking about? name 4 'deep' sci fi shows with the action, humour and satisfaction for watching that SG gives you. but seriously... what does 'deep' give you? hell, DEFINE deep in the first instance. honestly, who wants to watch a story about 'flawed heroes', which is just spin talk for "losers-who-have-the-producers-on-their-side". i see enough losers in real life, i dont want my entertainment to be about the same schmucks. honestly, all 4 team me
Quoting TheRezonator, reply 38 how so? and how would that contribute? Well, it allows for a firefight to have the complexity of the chance of each individual unit surviving accounted for. Some crews may be more loyal, but others may be either cowardly enough or intelligent enough to flee from a hopeless battle, or at least hopeless for that individual unit to survive. In terms
(I forgot what the default is)
there is no default, you need to set it manually
there should be more in the way of tacics?
i completely agree, at least some formations and flanking manouvers... but oh well
stupid question but are the other AI allied with each other? if teams are unlocked they may be allied and you dont know
Quoting Astax, reply 100 Also why would ancients put stargates on inhospitable planets? And ones with no life on them? Maybe because, hundreds of thousands of years have passed since those stargates were put on those planets. Climate change, asteroid/comet impacts, mass extinction and massive solarflares, just to name a few ways a planet can undergo dramatic changes so that life can't exist anymore
Ya, firefly comes to mind as a good show which was cancled way before it should have been... Then they even killed off half the crew in the movie, making any further attempts at making the show again impossible.
exactly, i was so pissed off when they cancelled Firefly. Why? because the general populace are dumb shits who only want the schadenfreude feeling of watching people get humiliated or whatever on shows like Big Brother,
i have to say, though, at the end of the EP: Light, where the colonel thinks Rush knew the ship would be alright... so what? So if he did, he kicked 15 people plus supplies off the ship for a few hours, then helped get them back.... big whoop? Though i have to say, about the militarism, in this case, the military are good. they are simple, yes, but they generally want to save everyone. Whereas the scientists have proven multiple times that they think they know better and go of
well, im halfway through the episode where the Destiny flies into the sun (in Australia they air the episodes one week behind the US) and i have to say im rather impressed. i knew about ramscoop technology but i have to say i didnt think about it... the scene where the ship recharges itself was truly... idn... heartwarming? inspirational? idn, but i was very impressed! regardless, though, if they dont tone down the drama, its gonna get old real quick
