As most of those other questions its out of our hands...most of it is due to SINS and/or Galaxy Forge. Most of the time it will stich the human player in player 0.
yeah, i realise that, im just asking if its set to default to squash the player in with as many AI as possible... or if its possible to change this event occuring?

hey, is there a map with the capturable trade neutral in there a default? ive found most of the standard Sins maps dont use too many of the new DS grav well types... which is annoying... two other things, one: is it possible to completely randomise starting position? on many maps i find im starting in the same place every time, which is really annoying... two, im playing a game on a large map with 9 players, but i only want 7 players to play and i want a bit of space to start
The difference between Futurama and Firefly is obviously that the cast of Futurama doesn't have to deal with real life.
oh... so... a cartoon of a bunch of idiots, robots and mutants flying around in a spaceship doesnt have to deal with reality while an acted series of a bunch of cowboys, prostitutes and fugitives on a spaceship fighting zombies and other kinds of unsavouries DO have to deal with reality? riiight... gotcha [e digicons];)[/e]
Frankly, all that I have seen out of Hollywood in recent years are [pitiable] attempts to recreate movies or their plotlines, pro-environmental/anti-human-stereotype semi-lectures, and current event exploitation (2012, day after tomorrow, etc.). The film industry's creativity is drying up, and I fear that Avatar will be the best they have to offer for too long.
SECONDED

really, the only way to affect the economy of another enemy (at present) is to take out his planets... trade just doesnt do that much early game... AND, as Sins tends to focus on planets moreso than Asteroid fields and random regions of space, there is really no way for you to have a small strike force behind enemy lines attacking their trade ships because the only places you can attack them (aside from enemy controlled planets) are UCGW's, which are few and far between on most maps,

no, im glad Blokamp didnt get anything i feel cheated by the movie, i was expecting an action movie, and yet i get assailed by how massive arseholes humans can be, and spend a few hours listening to a dumb prick of a main character, with maybe 15 minutes in 3 hours of movie worth of action sequences... i have no problem with the story he was trying to tell, i feel cheated that he sold it as an action movie etc just so he could spread his own opinion and sneak in a few million

fantastic camera work, some of the best ive seen from Sins, however the jumping between soundtracks with each scene change was horrible and should have been easily overcome, you lost major points for that and the crappy subtitles you put at the bottom just ruined it... "But there is this empire... that did these things with these ships and then like, omgosh i dont know, like, this person just did that thing and it was way cool... and its time to bring in the big guns...

all caps in a grav well with a battle going on get exp. the amount is based on how many caps are in the same grav well at the time (plus certain research techs), regardless of if they actually do anything or just sit there looking pretty so, one cap in a battle would get all the EXP, while 7 caps would each take a 1/7th share, again, regardless of if they're attacking or not. sometimes to lvl up caps quickly and for free, you send them to your frontline worlds or UCG
Well, I figure two things concerning the mines. 1) Why would you make mines if shields shrug them off? 2) If they're phased (thus can go through shields and all) and are set to unphase within a shield bubble, wouldn't that suck?
it would indeed.... i just thought of something lore wise... the TEC and Advent have now learnt how to phase out structures right... this doesnt apply to the Advent so much as the TEC but should they be able to now make their own versions
Of course it's companies protecting their profit, but so much pirating going on what else should be expected? Going back to books, if you were the author/publisher of a book and for every copy sold there were ten copies being distributed free, would you be happy? I suspect not.
no i agree, if you think up or 'create' something, you should be paid for every copy bought. if i wrote a book and for every copy bought 10 were going out free... idn, i suppose at the time id be
