give it a month. they said they were going to come out with a map pack with new maps, and theres patchs on the way, and god knows what else. the more sucessful rebellion is, the more sucessful rebellion will be. or something like that.
The good news is that Yarlen said that they are working on a map pack to release in the near future. The better news is that since you voiced your concerns, there is a good chance they might get addressed. The bad news is, making 4v4 maps and 5v5 maps is a BITCH. I mean. there is. what. zero 5v5 premade singlestars? course maybe that is the thing that is gettting addressed. We'll see. And while It would prolly be a good idea to post "id like cool ma
weapon type doesnt matter in the slightest in combat, and only matter for which upgrades effect them. so tec units with lasers can only get a 20% boost, while autocannons 30%. what does matter is the weapon type and armor type... light, medium, composite, and anti-light, anti-medium... and so forth... as that determains what counters what.

servers are fine. can handle an order of magnitude of load higher than anything they have been put to. what you should be complaining about is the pipes between the server and the players, which do not always seem to be cooperative.
And this bug WAS fixed a long time ago. update to rebellion.

there is a demp it is of the plain version from several years ago. Like you said. but why in the flipping frag would a game have a demo of an expansion pack? go buy this game. its the best 40 dollars you will ever spend on a game.

rebellion revamped almost every single particle effect. it is its own graphical mod.
the auto commands have to be all in sync, aka, every computer must register that ship X now suddely feels like doing action y, at the same time. This means, the more ships, the hard it is for this to happen, and so a lag starts to develop where the autopilot is cycling though the ships slower than the ships finish orders. Not a biggy. slightly annoying perhaps, but not a biggy, as each players ships are affected in the same way. So it gives more incentive to micro your fleet w
1.02 was only a panic hotfix for the false desync report that happens when people screw with their autosave timings. The planned 1.02, the one with the balance changes, is now prolly 1.03, and will be released whenever they were going to release 1.02 before this shinangines happened.

Well. There were plans, (read some year old posts or so) they just never quite made it in. hopefully they can now not worry about release, and fit in some of these things they promised.
Sort of not really a bug but kind of a bug. definatly known. i think. If starbase jumping sounds get patched in, and this isnt fixed at the same time, then you can get worried.
hehe ya. it really is intresting how things change when you go from single player to multiplayer. but ya, they are working on it. so it will get better. And yes, they did an awesome job.
