When have you protected BIA, quar? BSC isn't in BIA anymore and hasn't been for months so it can't be him. Ferdie has never been BIA. I was just joking around with you anyways sorta. I will never know why anyone would want to be in a clan with siddy. His cons more than outweigh the pros he brings to a group. [_]-Greyfox

The problem with cap carriers compared to cruisers is that SC building with caps is independant of AM and cruisers are dependant on AM. This means that caps are always building their SC at optimal rates while cruisers are hampered once their squads are destroyed because of AM issues likely at that point. I am not suggesting switching it over to being dependant on AM because this would really screw up any abilities used by caps when you may prefer the abilities to the SC squads.&nb

I know he is fat and stinks but ent game afk? noo no Ascension , he will emoquit much earlier. +5 to ferdie for overal dicknessQuar, did you go to charm school with Siddy?
I guess its part and parcel of being in DT. Only a few of them seem immune. I would say siddy is rubbing off on him but
I would be against any change to mitigation or some sort of damage cap against cap ships. The last thing I want is damn near invincible cap ships. Generally my problem keeping caps alive is early game anyways. Once they have progressed somewhat they already become somewhat difficult to kill unless you are careless with them. I wouldn't be opposed to some small stat increases but that would be about it. Could you imagine a TEC using a couple of marzas that are tou
It depends entirely on how upgraded the starbase is, how upgraded the illums are and what support you have. SBs in general are a pain to take down with illums if they are fairly well upgraded. My point is that a lot of times I don't build illums much because they are killed quickly by cap carrier fighters and scouts. I don't see lrf in general built as much because of this due to this being a popular and effective rush. In this situation lrf are inefficient and will ju
Flak weren't really touched last patch. The only thing changed was that vasari flak ability does not affect frigates anymore but only SC. The difference now is that flak's counter(light frigates) were buffed and rose to more prominence. That doesn't make LRF the problem in your situation as LRF were not changed for the better last patch other than a bug that has been there for who knows how long with illums. What I am saying as an advent player myself is that it is dif
Personally, I don't see illum or lrf spam as much in general anymore so I don't see what the problem is that people keep griping about it. Cap carrier/LF/scout spam is so prevalent that it makes it difficult to keep lrf around in any kind of numbers generally unless you are against a newer/less experienced player until a sizeable amount of flak or fighters are built to give cover. Some are stuck still fighting the last "war"/patch. [_]-Greyfox
Click the ironclad online button from the main menu. There is no automatic matchmaking really. You will make a name and be taken to the lobby where you can join games or host your own. The busiest times are in the evening Eastern US time. Most games are played with entrenchment although you may find some regular sins games out there. [_]-Greyfox
I agree with everything neph said but alas I am likely to get none of it. Especially seeing that multiplayer is a small fraction of the player base. [_]-Greyfox
The fact that dark phoenix doesn't want his main name told is a little suspect of smurfing. I have also seen other SB that you didn't list that I have no idea who they are. Sure there are plenty unclanned out there to pick from but its a small community and seeing as how smurfing is so prevalent its definitely a possibility. I actually wouldn't be surprised if sunny didn't have a smurf there since he likes to have names in every clan. Who you have in there doesn't much
That is a good question quar. I am fine with a game myself. I posted on our forums about it. I am trying to figure out a time that would be best and who is interested. I have been a bit absent lately online so I have not been able to check with those that don't check the forums. Hopefully we can get a game though. [_]-Greyfox
Half? You way underestimate their smurfing. They hardly ever play with their main name much less their DT name. The only time they wear their tags is when they want to play on the same team as a clan(not often). There are a couple of notable exceptions that wear their tag more often(Klemz and Howthe notably). [_]-Greyfox
Unfortunately mecha is right. They will smurf right around your list no matter what you do. Even smurfs that are more dedicated to a name typically only keep it for a few weeks or until its widely known who they are. I wish something would be done but I have about given up hope. [_]-Greyfox
Archnemesis is no longer in BIA. He joined SB as Overlord. [_]-Greyfox
Phase jump inhibitors are a big thing in this situation. If you are vasari, you could have an egg with grav warhead. If you are advent you could use repulse. You could throw a small contigent of ships in front of it to slow them down(scouts work well for this because they are fast and cheap). You could split your forces and be waiting for them in the next jump. Phase inhibitors are best though. [_]-Greyfox
I don't hate you at all, agent. I find you to be annoying and a whiner but that is far from hate. With 2 skirantra against 1 sova, you should have had enough strike craft to kill it with bombers with a couple of fighters thrown in to kill off enemy fighters. Instead you didn't use the skirantra to great benefit and instead it sounds like you went in and let the missle platforms beat you silly. If you lost a cap because of missle platforms I find that pretty sad when yo
The thing is the seekers are easy to kill and if there is a lot of mines what are you going to do? They can not take out all the mines at once.
Use hold position so they don't wade out into them and give you a modicum of control advancing to clear it out. Seekers to make them show up and illums or flak to kill the mines. It can be tempting to go through them anyways if the vasari builds a SB behind th
I could see that going poorly since seekers are exactly what you need to help kill them even after they phase out. [_]-Greyfox
I agree with zombie here. From the sound of it, agent did not play skillfully at all and wants to blame something being overpowered for his loss. Cap ships were designed to play a certain role in a fleet and the roles of these 2 carrier caps are different. It doesn't sound like he used them to their best advantage and that his micro was crap. This is just another whiney agent thread like there are so many of already. [_]-Greyfox
The only thing I could think as to not playing quickstart is the case of vasari. With normal start(no quickstart), the vasari have a very early game advantage in the rush because they can build long range frigates with 1 military lab while advent takes 3. It also help vasari that they can get neutrals early with scouts so they can get an early economic advantage compared to the other races. Quick start nullifies that very early advantage by giving the advent player the
The AI doesn't take advantage of everything the advent has to offer and use it to optimum effect so any perceived imbalance is moot against the AI. Most would say advent is the strongest race but each race has its own advantages, strengths and weaknesses. The big thing is learning what those are and how best to exploit them. Playing and learning in multiplayer is the best way to learn what is effective and what is not. There is something to be said for playing a g
It does tell you when one is building in one of those messages in the lower left corner. It does not speak the warning however. Sometimes when it is late game I will check every now and then to make sure one is not being contructed(especially when I am playing with Quar or JJ in the econ slot as they tend to build them eventually). It lists what planet it is being built on but often I have to hunt it down by name with each individual planet. Basically if I see mul
The illum bug is not very avoidable as long as you play advent. There is less malicious intent with it. The Z-axis bug is completely avoided unless you INTENTIONALLY use it. The person using it intends solely to cheat with it. That makes it worse in my book. [_]-Greyfox
I've found that the buff to Carrier caps has actually helped much much more than its hurt. yes they are strong now, OP? No I don't think so. The carrier caps being stronger and now more popular has brought more option in which cap to start with. If you recall last patch the game was dominated by Eggs, Motherships and Marzas. Predictable. Now a lot of people are using carrier caps yes, but I think that will die off a little once more peopl
Maybe if you sit there and let missle batteries kill it then sova will beat a halcyon or skirantra but personally I am not going to stupidly sit there and get hit when I can move out of range. [_]-Greyfox
