That is the whole point. You being a DT know exactly who the DT players are and have a benefit from knowing that. That gives you an advantage that everyone else does not have. TEC and advent SC solutions are less than ideal. Basically you are looking at telekinetic push as far as abilities go for advent. TK push does pretty crappy damage but it can delay dps as well. It takes several hits with it to destroy squads so its hardly cleaning up the field. TEC have magnetize which is not exactly clearing the field either and flak burst. There are no other clans but BIA. We are the ones that HAVEN'T given up. DT is a myth that this thread has helped perpetuate. Seeing DT is like seeing bigfoot. You are never sure if what you are seeing is real and its a rare thing to see even if its fake. Phase missles are something a vasari is gonna research anyways. Very few intentionally research the culture upgrades for advent to even get a deliverance or even have reason to build civ labs past 3 for trade. Put it on the wave tree and then you will be sorta on par with advent or or even closer to advent and be something equally unresearched on the civ tree. [_]-Greyfox

Not only do deliverance engines largely suck but they at the top of a largely useless tech tree(culture upgrades). I would be fine with it if the culture research requirement was removed(or lessened) and it was given a small but not insignificant allegiance hit were given. You don't have to research anything else to get kostura(not sure about novaliths right offhand). RA is just not used because vasari have so many better things to use than RA so it sits unused mostly.<

It should be noted that the busiest place is in diplomacy and not vanilla or entrenchment.

Flak spam is not satisfactory. All they have to do is plop down a SB and all the flak suddenly are useless. Flak spam does not solve the source problem though which are the caps themselves. Drone hosts are useful on the defense sometimes but once they switch to offense the vasari will get phasic trap. Tier 0 spam is one of the few viable things to counter early vasari at present. The Halcyon is not comparable as Darvin said. SC are still active and able to damage against telekinetic push. Even if you have 2 or 3 you are not going to totally prevent damage. With phasic trap however, they cannot move or fire and are basically sitting ducks to any fighter presence around. Once it is active, you cannot even dock the SC without jumping out of the well completely. If they have phasic trap set up then you can be damn sure there will be a SB too

Unfortunately however the worst bomber spamming offender is the skirantra which is only AM dependant for bombers due to an ability(fairly cheap one at that). Carrier cruisers are not particularly the problem here. [_]-Greyfox

It is just my opinion they should not be an offensive weapon. I stated that whatever change is made that it not exacerbate a problem already existing(mines with subverters). I am perfectly fine with them being defensive(forcing a certain route through a well or by subterfuge of them not knowing where the mines are without uncovering with scouts). If you are stupid enough to blunder through a minefield blindly then you deserve the damage. I just disagree that
