Are you sure the most common mistake is people save their maps under Steamgames \ Steamapps \ common \ Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion \ Galaxy Forge It won't show up if its in there and will do just as you are saying Load you map in GF choose save and double check the current path in the upper window if it is Steamgames \ Steamapps \ common \ Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion \ Galaxy Forge then click on Libraries \ Documents \ My Games \ Ironclad

Paste it into My Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\GalaxyForge Then in game change maps to Galaxy Forge Maps you'll find it there and playable If you don't have Rebellion substitute Rebellion for Diplomacy, Entrenchment ect
Not that I am aware of unless you use the dev to spawn place them maybe and then save the game and play straight from the save game.
Seleuceia, I can understand the desire to want to try and balance teams as I said a non challenge is boring might as well play the ai and give yourself a gazillion credits whats the point, if you know in advance you win in fact can you really say you won if you did that, might be able to say you had fun though and as a game well that's all that matters.</

While I haven't played MP, I have modded and done SP, reading the posts here I have come to the conclusion, that the problem with MP is a shrinking player base caused by yes glitches but also by skilled / veterans not wanting to recruit newbies because their ego driven, narcissistic competitive natures are getting the best of them, and newbies are being turned off by it and not sticking around.
