Diplomatic victory in a 1 v 1 situation against AI? Well, as far as I can tell, you are not going to exceed the AI in gaining diplomacy points in a 1 v 1 due to the AI relationship bonus with humans IF you destroy his ships because you will be hurt more by the military actions penalty than he will. Vicious AI are still prone to getting wrecked by 40k pirate missions. [e digicons]:ninja:[/e] To me, playing a Vicious AI is like playing someone who is patently bad at the game but can always get an economy that is through the roof. Was it against Vasari? They have Phasic Barrier that makes targetting them manually a pain since for the duration they are phased out you can't target them.

The Vicious and Cruel AI has also been implemented now. In beta, they never used their vast amount of resources (they cheat, yes). Now looking at the stats after a game, you can see that they are using it. I would imagine that the ai improvements implemented in Entrenchment and Vanilla are also in Diplomacy. The AI seemed to build their fleet composition better as well. With resource hax, of course, it is easy for the AI to get super high on the tech tree while still building a fleet. Though

Wait...so this is going to be a new capital ship all together then? Sounds interesting. It would make the weapon pacts slightly more useful for the different races. However, it does seem like a bit of a stretch to implement and balance since we are already in Beta 3.

Try some Subverters with the distortion field. They help a lot. Though you might want to cast that manually as sometimes they will all try to disable one area. If you do try to use lots of Enforcers again, try to have Reintegration researched as well so that they can repair themselves. Also a few Overseers will also help keep your fleet alive.

Hahaha, that's kinda funny [e digicons]:D[/e] . Yep, envoys should definately not trigger mines while immune. Diplomatic immunity should not shield you from damage but should make it so no one fires on you. Although, realistically, the envoy should trigger mines while invulnerable and take the damage anyways--but no one wants that [e digicons];P[/e] .

To be honest, AI are kinda dumb with Capital Ships anyways. They might do better with only a few caps and a large fleet than they do with a lot of caps and a small fleet.

Anyone know how much the TEC Envoy donation ability actually gives me? It doesn't say what the sizeable amount of credits amounts to on the infocard. Also, the Envoy can use this ability anywhere and I would still get the credits?

Hm, I've never had that problem. Once the tech is researched, it is in a separate option in the missions list. However, the only time I tried doing this was during a locked teams game...I could not give my allies a mission to give me resources, only my enemies. [e digicons]>:([/e]

The beam pact description is missing a keyword. It says "Two factions share beam weapon technlogy, mutually damage dealt by all beam type weapons for both peoples' ships and structures." I am assuming it increases damage dealt. Also technology is spelled wrong.

It happened to me too. I randomed Vasari so many times in a row. My friend kept randoming Advent. We eventually got a different race but it was kinda weird.

Kill the healers first. That will help. HC's are pretty good for Advent when fully upgraded but Illuminators are pretty cheap and really good. Carriers, I think, are the slowest thing besides capital ships. Also bombers wipe the floor with HC so that is probably why you won the second match...not to mention Advent Carriers have a lot of health and shield.
