Just wondering if anyone else is still having the problem of the game slowing to a crawl. After I colonize about 7 or 8 planets, If I build to many mines, fighter and bommer squadrens, cap ships, and cruisers, the game slows down to a crawl, even at 8x speed. I am runnins an AMD 6000 (3.1 mhz) dual core, 9500 Nvidia video card with 1 gig DDR3 ram, 4 gigs of system ram, Windows XP Pro. (Yes I know XP only sees a bit over 3gigs of system ram). So I am sure my system is not the problem. I can ru
Try lowering your screen resolution. That should help.
I just wanted to pop in and say that I have pirated some games, but only to try them out. If I like it then I go buy it legally. If I don't like it then I delete it off my computer. I originally pirated a copy of Sins. Liked it so well that I bought it and then when Entrenchment came out bought it too. I do think that if the
Ok I just got through playing 4 more games, 2 as Advent and 2 as Vasari. The 2 I played as Advent came to a creeping halt at about the same time as the Tec games I have played. However I also played 2 games as Vasari and had absolutly no problem with lag at all? Just thought I would add that here as it may help determine the cause.
I am having the same problems with the game slowing down to a crawl. My system surpasses all the recommended requirements by far. Plenty of ram and a fast cpu etc. I also thought it might be related to how many ships were in the game, so I just played (tried to at least) a small map, 1 AI player and myself. I only built the 16 cap ships and no others, Did not build ant trade ports or refineries. The game ran fine for about an hour till I had captured about 15 planets (asteriods etc), th
Anyone got any ideas?
The problem I am having with GF is that when I make changes to the Galaxy files, most of the time the changes do not show up in game, neither regular Sins nor Entrenchment. The changes I have made are only to change the amount of starting credits, metal, and crystal. The changes do show up in some of the maps, but only when I play as Tec. I have the latest updates for Sins, Entrenchment and Forge Tools. I am just wondering if this is normal? I have just in the last month started playi
I had a problem like this. I was trying to run in windowed mode and when I did I had no mouse. Stardock sent me the following: Try going to C:\Users\*yourname*\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting\user.setting and set 'VideoIsWindowed FALSE'. I did that and it fixed it so I could play. For some reason my mouse does not show up when in windowed mode and this allowed me to switch back to f
Hello, I just downloaded the new version of Forge Tools, and neither Galaxy Forge nor Particle Forge will run. Both of them crash at startup with the error message of: "Galaxy Forge has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I get the same message from Particle Forge. Except it says Particle Forge needs to close.... I have tried using the Forge tools download and the Galaxy Forge downloads but they both do the same thing. Any Help would
