As Vas, you do NOT want LFs. they are not in the right tech tier. You want ships that benifit from your phase missles. You simply needed more flak. Even if you had to increase your supply limit... you need more flak. If your going to go flak, get at least 15-20. Or you can go carrier with strait fighters. I think in your situation, you got your 2nd cap too early. Your fleet breakdown would have been better as this... 1 cap - 50

The Flak frigs will not do enough damage to bombers, have them target fighters. Your fighters can then take on the bombers. However, if you were that outnumbered and all the strikecraft were bombers... you need to retreat. The Vas Colonizer should have targeted the drones, the support help, and the lrms take out the siege frigs. The flak would need to stick close to the caps to help them survive. That may have helped you survive.... but with that
Does that tech really work? Where the vasari can collect resources from the rubble? I've never seen it work, is there a particular ship that collects it or what?

I recently had a game where the AI's actually teamed up and they BOTH built stabases on the same planet well. It was on a hevily defended flank possition, and both AI's had tried attacking, was repulsed, and then fortified with mines, 2 starbases and a fleet. I was actually surprised at the teamwork the AI did. And this was after the 1.04 patch.... those devs are up to something [e digicons]*_*[/e]
Hound hit it. you must scout the enemy and know where he is, what his ship makup is, and where the tech level of the enemy is. Read Amish's Defender post on how to hold out if you don't want/can't make a good fleet to counter.... a scout fleet loses to a defender with starbase.

maybe insted of tech ship sharing, you share tech LEVEL? Your ally is at militery level 6, and can boost you to level 6 with the right reaserch ( say civic lvl 6 ) That would make for some interesting dependencies, yes?

I see no problem with RF. It is a powerfull ability, espectially if used on support frigs, constructors or other support ships. The time limit may need increased slightly, but not by much. And no, they should not stay for good.... that would become WAYYYY too IMBA.
