Reply to fps in PC Gaming

i'd have to say return to castle wolfenstein, halo 3, modern warfare 1 (pc) ninjaedit: not praising these as the pinnacle of fps, but they had a much clearer correlation of aiming skill and k/d ratio.

what the hell is it with these steaming piles of shit? for reference, i direct you to halo: reach, modern warfare 2, and blackops

Fuck BF:BC2's points system. that is all. i am so damn tired of being killed by pricks with red dotted ultra-super marksman enhanced laser guns of doom & enhanced body armor, when all i get is some retarded bare bones pea shooter. way to stick it to the new players dice.

i liked it, although alot of the missions seemed very similar to those found in ace combat 4....its basically a copy-pasta of a successfull formula. *spoiler alert* there is one horribly overpowered fake plane in the game that you unlock by beating the campaign on hard... it has a railgun and a special missile that can wipe up to 12 air/land targets from existance at a time.

pirate frigs have 21-24 armor...equiv. to a full defense starbase. they also have 2k~ish hull, just a couple hundred short of a fully upgraded HC. pirate turrets have 34 armor...and 7k hp...and 100 dps....each basically a starbase with all defense upgrades. now imagine a late game raid bringing 40-50 pirate frigs to your base... oh, yes, and the turrets are perfectly capable of murdering strike craft...

WTH? seriously? "buff pirates" sure, friaget with HC stats, turrets with the durability of a medium starbase... just......WTF? 36 armor 7k hp 100 dps per turret.....24 armor on a priate frig...a fully upgraded starbase has low 20's armor.... WTF!??!!?!?

i'd be playing it now myself if EA didn't have to eff up the activation system with regards to the digital download versions.

except you're talking about two different engines/games/AND companies. i doubt brad has even looked at much of the source code for sins except for maybe to trim through for some coding tricks to pick up on or for a proof of concept build.

GrandAdmiralSova, for your own well being, someone needs to come over to your house and smash your Xbox. Halo would get its ass curbstomped horribly by some race or another in St
How can it be channeling and still move?
because the marauder still has to be present for it to be in effect. If the marauder leaves or is disabled the effect will be removed. apparently though the effect is not removed until AFTER the marauder jumps, which means it can use its own effect.
By the way, actual processor are not real 64 bits processor... the address range is 48 bits... planned range for future processor is 56 bits...
sure it is! its just that you only get to use 48 bits for memory addressing. bits actually refers to the length of the integer registers.

the ability is still channeling its just that in that recent patch they let the marauder move. It can still be interrupted though. apparently moving also includes jumping and since the node is active right up until it leaves the system it can use its own node.

yes, they are scaled to hardware/OS. the game's existing hard limits are designed to prevent the core game from running over the 2GB limit (which is a limitation of 32-bit processors)(which is why i made my previous post).

up the architecture! so seriously...which one of you all was volunteering to help ironclad do a 64-bit build? IC could up the hard limits but sins would just explode
i dunno, with recent new learnings from another thread i may use superweapons again... though i do thin its odd that advent can put two super weapons in a GW but vasari cannot, despite the same tactical slot requirements.
advent have an upgrade that adds 10 tactical slots to all planets-just enough at the larger planets to build 2 deliverance engines
