I would myself love to see the ability to screw up phase lanes as you describe above. I would want to have the gravity well dwindle away over the course of five minutes or so. three minutes old phase lane composition, two minutes old and new phase lanes. After that, the grav well gone, any ships remaining are stuck, and the new phase-lane structure stabilizes. Unrealistic, but gives players time to react. This would be devestating to the Advent culture war, and as such

Is anyone aware of a way to force Sins (any flavor) to run in a window? I have a multi-moniter setup, and I would like to be able to have a IM program running without having my game minimize every time I get a tell. Appreciate any help.

There is no 'reverse engineering' of the technology to destroy a planet. Well, assuming that you use the direct rout to destroy it; that is to say, pour energy into it until it explodes. See the remains of Aldaraan for an example of this technique.

Empire at War was mentioned, but not the obvious ability to use the Death Star to blow planets away. I particularly liked to combination of RTS while the DS closed in to firing range.

Imperial- and Super- class star destroyers are wonderful looking, IMO. Huge fan of the Galaxy-class starship. But my favorite of all is the Romulan Warbird, the big one from TNG. My like for Romulan ship design causes me to favor the Vasari in this game.
On the other hand, this is what the official page says about the Vasari situation 15 YEARS AGO (before entrenchment). When the Vasari arrived in Trader Space ten years ago, they were confident in their ability to quickly deal with the locals. Initially, the victories were painless – the scouts alone procured the initial settlements – but as time went on it became clear that the local space-faring species would not

I whole-heartedly agree with the desired mission re-work. I like the idea of offering missions to the computer, and i likethe idea of conditional demands. By this I mean the situation wherein I offer 1,000 crystal in exchange for a peace treaty, or similar. I like the idea of being able to give ships. I would like to see mostly unfettered ship transfers; ie, vasari able to give ships to the TEC. The limits I would like to see on this are a percentage cap (based on fleet points) of 'fo

Unlike some of the posters here, I quite like the empire tree. As long as my empire is small enough that the tree is still, it is the best empire-management mechenism I've ever used. Really hope the devs can fix this.

Without looking at any data not on this page, the game in question sounds a lot like a miniatures game I play sometimes called 'Full Thrust.' - No comments from the peanut gallery, please.

I don't make a habit of asking game developers for stuff. I'm an easy-going guy, very casual gamer. But I am now going to ask for somthing, and ireally hope that somone hears me. Please, please, for the love of all that is holy, make the empire tree stop trying to help me. I don't want it jumping around, trying to hep me find things, i don't want it auto-scroling to where it thinks I'm going, I don't want it to move at all, except when I double-click a ship or planet. Then it can pull

Yes, they were. No, there wasn't. Yes, I did. I have successfully used the PSN around wormholes, and asteroids wherein I had no slots for a proper phase gate. Stars just don't seem to like being phase stabelized.

I have discovered that if I build a Vasari Space Turnip at a star, and upgrade it with the Phase Stabilizer ability, it simply dosn't take. The upgrade consumes a slot, the button appears, and the Antimatter is expended, but Phase Stabilization does not seem to occur.

I also got a minidump about 15 minutes in. Of note is that I played almost the whole 15 minutes in 8x speed. The problem is a real-time issue, not a game-time issue, if that helps any at all. In other news, the ships look great, the firing effects are great. Shame you can't do anything about the icons, though. I suspect that might be a LOT of work. One last note: the Corellian Corvets still think they are the same size as the Cobalts they replaced, and they want to sit

MyMoto, the correct solution is to have all the files, the ZIP and the Z## files in the entrenchment mods folder, and unzip them by right-clicking the zip file and selecting UNZIP HERE. OK, that's good and done. Installed the patch as well. When I enable the mod, and select APPLY CHANGES, I get a minidump. Any reccomendations?

OK, your mod looks AMAZING, but I find the install instructions somewhat less than complete. First: I do not recognize the file extention .z01, and neither does my computer. Are they zip-fragments? Are they to be placed untouched in the MODS folder? Second: the primary ZIP file seems to be corrupt. I cannot extract any data from it. Strictly speaking, I was not directed to un-zip the file, but the instalation instructions are inside the zip file, and I can't rea
The TEC could have their energy shield. The Advent a Psi Shield. The Vasari a nano shield.
I'm not sure I would want a nano-shield. I'd much rather have a large shield, or at least a medium shield. To those who disaprove of Aux. Government (and similar) remember that the ability is not 'can't colonize' but rather 'can't lose controll of.' Therefor, even if the enemy fleet runs around your SB and bombard

Reply to Fleet upkeep in Strategy
About the econ and fleet size... How much % of upkeep you pay depend on how much fleet points you are using, if you scrap or loose ships, your get your econ back. At least, that's what happened in my last game, whenever i was short on resources i scrapped a few high fleet point ships and my econ was back on it's feet.
Are you sure you are seeing a reduction in upkeep, and not simply getting money back for your scrappe

I'm gonna reccomend a single executable file, rather than one for each expansion. (such as we have now) When starting a new game, in the Game Options menu, there should be a list of expansions and a toggle for each one. Default position should be 'on' if every person has the expansion, and locked to 'off' if at least one person dosn't have it. Each player slot should have an indicator to show what expansions they have.

Selecting the "fleet icon" then pressing the PIN botton in the topleft corner has worked well for me. As well, go under User Interface, and insure that the box marked "Pin Fleets" or similar is marked. Hope this helps.

I believe that Starcraft introduced a defeat-condition consisting of 60 seconds with no production buildings. (partialy-constructed buildings counted) That allows for the rare occourance when you have no buildings, but are capable of picking yourself up in a hurry.
