Hmm...maybe it's just because I'm playing normal. But they always seem to make mace soldiers with a crazy amount of health. Still, good to know the AI uses them :)

I've seen some weird stuff too. FOr example, they declare war on me, and then simply send pioneers and reinforcements across my territory. THey never actual attack me. I've been thinking that they might be doing that instead of asking for a non-aggression policy. Maybe their value algorithm is off? Also, has anyone seen the AI make archers? I've seen some ruffians with bows, but never an enemy.

Lol, I had an army, it just was not very well equipped. I had managed to get married in the first 10 or so turns, and decided to go for one of the non-militaristic victories. SO most of my research was into the trees other than military.

In version 1.07, the AI rushed me with 3 12-man squads of sions. I had nothing that could stop them. NOTHING! The game ended with my sovereign and his two children holding my capital by themselves. They all had about 50 essence, so I relegated one of my kids to just blowing the stacks back, while my son and I hammered them with everything we could. It felt amazingly epic, and even though I knew it was a lost cause, I felt suitably heroic fighting on as my family died one by one. Probabl

Before the hotfix, my magic was demolishing anything, and I didn't use bows. After the hotfix, my bows aren't hitting anything, and I didn't give my sovereign any spells. I am very confused right now.

What if it was sort of enrgy from an alternate phase space? The vasari could have researching alternate phase spaces, and suddenly crap starts pouring out. It could act like a cross between phase inhibitors,and the solar storms. With the environment comes the inhabitants, who wouldn't even have to be all powerful, they would just harness the energy's benefits. Or they could be part energy too. I just think that an alternate dimension's environment pouring out could be interesting.

My first multiplayer game. It was me and another noob against 2 hard ai.( Supposed to be a comp-stomp, turned into a human-stomp). Anyway, my ally sent three capital ships into an enemy grav-well, and started bombarding the planet. The ai sent a fleet in, which jumped in between my ally, and the closest safe planet(mine). I'm the oppostie, at the beginning of the game (first 2-3 minutes) I get lots of lag, but then it settles down. Every once in a while it will lag for a second or two late game, but that's it.
