Against Halcyons, you're far better with multiple Sova Carriers than Kols. Sovas with Heavy SC and Fighters are able to clear out 6-12 Bombers easily, and Missile Batteries is a nice offensive power to deal with the Disciples. In this situation, Kols are not worth the cost. Flak Burst is generally good only when there's an enormous amount of SC (20-50+). Otherwise, use Sovas instead. It's far more effective.

The problem with Vasari is that their ships are too expensive and weak. Seriously, compare the Junsurak with the Garda and Defense Vessel (Junsurak has 16 DPS, some 1500 HP/Shields, Garda has 14 DPS and a billion HP, and Defense has 19 DPS and some 1400 HP/Shields, and Junsuraks cost 5 Fleet), and they're the closest Vasari ship 'balanced' with their counterparts! I can accept Assailants being weak early-on because they come out so early and become very powerful by late-game, but the res

With Advent, Illum or Seeker/Disciple spam is pervasive. Especially with team games, because usually there's a dedicated 'feeder', who develops his economy soley to provide for the offensive players. With the exception of Advent often, most games lead to more complicated and fast-paced battles. Try multiplayer again, and preferably in 5v5 team games. It is a lot more entertaining than the AI, and sometimes the unique strategies other players use can make a game far more interesting.</

I think the main problem with the game isn't Scout/LF or LRF spam. It seems more that Advent itself is incredibly unbalanced. I've never understood why Advent has all the best comat ships in the game. Seekers are the best scout, Disciples are the best LF, Illums are Illums, and then Defense Vessels are by far the best flak. Especially with Illums and Defense, because they completely outclass TEC and Vasari ships (Illums are bugged, and Defense Vessels are just completely overpowere

Sure, the Kol won't win a 1v1 fight against another capship, but that's what Dreadnoughts (i.e. Marza) are for. The Kol is supposed to fly into the middle of the enemy fleet and soak up and dish out damage to everthing around it. Flak burst shreds fighters and bombers (especially weak Advent fighters, which is vital, considering they are as numerous as rabbit

We had a topic like this a few months ago, but now the best caps are a lot less obvious. So post what you hink are the best caps, and preferably why. Mine are... TEC: 1. Akkan Battlecruiser- With the most recent patch, the Akkan is a much more formidable ship. It's Colonize is the best in the game, and really improves the economy of an early TEC player. Ion Bolt is a good disabler, and Targetting Uplink is decent at improving fleet DPS. Also, a level 6 Akkan is essenti

Advent has the both the best LF (Disciple) and scout (Seeker) in the game, so you want to make extensive use of them early-game. Typically, I try for 5 scouts and 3 LFs early on; it's a strong, balanced amount of ships for clearing planets. Of course in a battle, you'll want a lot more until you can research Illums.

Also with colonizing, you don't have to kill every militia in the GW. Generally, you'll want to kill off any siege and LRFs (And HCs, if there are more than one) in the area, then colonize and leave. A single turret will attract and kill off the remaining ships. This can easily drop minutes off colonizing planets, especially considering how durable flak frigates are.

Reply to Starting Fleet in Strategy

Generally, a good starting fleet is a colony cap, with some scouts and LFs (For Vasari, their LRFs come early enough to be used instead). For the next ships, it really depends on what your enemy is making. Typically, most people go to LRFs early on in the game, so making more scouts and flak is highly recommended. Early on, most fleets are either scout/LF with LRFs coming in soon. With scout\LF fleets, going pure LF is the way to go. With TEC, try to get Hoshiko cruisers quickly. They
