It's so hard to decide whether attack the building Orkulus and leaving my fleet vulnerable to the enemy ships, or let the starbase build up by retreating to save your ships. Usually Vasari players start with Skirantra that is good for repairing the building base or Jarrasul that will sneakily throw heavy damage on your capitalship so even if you kill the starbase your fleet will be heavily decimated and you may not be able to retreat your capitalship as well because of your focus fire on

JuleTron you somehow swapped the quotations, just check your reply 100, there are some unclear things for others who don't know every detail. :D although it's not that important.

I do not believe chasm between skilled and noobs is reason why crowds did not stay.
It's so strange that ALL of them got lost in some weeks.. i wonder what

I would accept the fact they are not paying attention to this game anymore IF they would be making SINS 2.. but they are not (yet?) and still so many issues are unsolved (many rooting from the beginning of this game......)

Toning down the overseers will just not happen anytime I think, and there are many more serious issues needing fix in the game. Anyway draining antimatter or light frigate abilities are effective against them. The thoughts about the Revelation are interesting but it's not likely happen too, any of these changes, they will leave that ship as useless as it is now, maybe improve it a bit and getting a less but still so useless thing. And you will never get the Revelation level6 onlin

I think part of the problem is very different from the technical problems of ICO.The crashes, lag etc are not enough for new players to discourage them from playing I think.. maybe if there were crashes in every 2nd game or such. My view is: In many games we had to face complete total absolute noobs totally ruining team balance, who haven't even played on singleplayer, or just played 2 matches before coming online, and they got surprised from the not warm welcome of them (

There are useless capital ships and many useless abilities for Advent, but the basic problem is NOT this, the Advent capital ships lack of hull is way bigger problem, these are the weakest ones of their categories and they are killed too easily if not being constantly repaired, oh Advent has crap repair functions so.. even bigger problem. Not to mention Halcyon and other stuff die so easily to shield ignoring phase missiles..

Somewhere i read 20 light frigates can kill it if its not supported by a repairing skirantra.. If you cant find a way how to destroy it, try to use it against someon and see what he is doing ;) if he can destroy it try to copy what he did, anyway buncs of corvettes can deal with that thing if you were paying attention and started killing that stuff right from the beginning of building. A capital ship with attack ability can do a great work in it, I am recently trying Vasari in skilled multipl

Ships and ETC look ridiculusly big compared to the vanilla planets BUT.. Please take it into consideration it was likely done this way not to waste idiotic amount of time just crossing a huge gravity well, I hate moving my ships for minutes, just very boring, so don't forget about this, but if it's ok for you, then no problem. I hope planets will never get bigger in the standard game, it would ruin the whole game by forcing players to wait for ships just to move somewhere, and if Kost

1. I always have problem with Vasari cruisers, If you have a level 5 Vorastra smiling in your face with 20 Overseers.. even if I focus fire on them that stupid semigod ship gets level6 no matter what, light frigates are good against them but LOL everything is good against them :D build light frigates in large numbers thats the only thing you can do, but they will die so fast from enemy long range frigates.. and titans, and capital ships, and heavy cruisers are deadly against them too. Antimat

I saw the damage increase remain after stopping bombardment but not killing the enemy world, I was walking around Javelis having 17 attack and such (this big is not reachable from missile researches as far as I know) but no bombing anywhere.. Or am I wrong big time?

4 Replies 4,094 Views

I use it, i like to sneak a siege frigate to bombard or a capital ship to get the damage increase, I always use it if I researched it. As far as I've seen it works after the first second of the first bombardment attack you made till the moment the ship leaves the grav well, your ships will have the increase for long, not sure how long though. Its not supposed to increaase damage from siege frigate bombardment but it does... Or maybe I am wrong.

I decided to put my thought out there on this topic. After reading the comments before me I saw some written so I will only agree with them. 1. Advent economy , for God's sake do something with it, the Loyalist +10% allegiance is good, but this is not present for the Rebels and still nowhere to trade upgrades and logistic slot increase, the Expulsion is awesome if you have high tax income rate, but there are situations

Focus fire is useful against bigger threats but be aware of the damage types, not every ship is good against big targets so they are maybe better off killing the ships they counter, as they waste huge damage due to their damage types weaknesses. But if his titan is retreating and has 200 health I would target it even with my protevs and trade ships LOL if it would be possible.

Ragnarov is best, look, abilities, firepower (I know Vorastra has higher frontal damage but its abilities are not suiting my style, and its look is strange). If Ragnarov gets to level 6, no frigate fleet is in safe from it's abilities. Recently I'm getting more interested in Coronata, many say it's very good and I like its look, but Advent Loyalist is not a strong faction of mine.
@ Turchany, I was just thinking about counters. Wherefore, is it a good idea to allocated specific groups to different classes of ships using "Ctrl" to allocate hotkeys. For example, bind all my corvettes to a hotkey. This way if I see my opposition bringing say flak mixed with LRF's fleet. I can hit my hot keys to divert all my corvettes to attack his LRF's and all my LF's to attack his flak for example. Instead of allowing w

The AI at lower levels cant beat capital ships so if you lead them in the middle of his fleet to be able to fire in all possible directions it's good, just retreat them if they are being heavily attacked. Same for antifighters and illuminator vessels, but one of them will not require to be retreated ;). Capital ship abilities require micromanagement, so if you can hurt many ships with an ability try maximize its effect, not waste antimatter with autocast and hurt only his capitalship or s

hi I'm interested in a longer and slower game, I also dislike a bit those rushtokilltheotherone before even building any economy, and the thing you mentioned, that I cannot even look elsewhere for 30 seconds or I will get killed ASAP.. A game for just fun would be great, to have a break within those competitions. PM me if you need me for your game.
