I got this game 3 weeks ago and it's really fun. I like how it keeps track of everything at the end (even the clicks you made!) However, as I went through the manual, I noticed something: the crew complements are huge! 1,500 people on a colony ship, 6,000 on a capital ship, 900 on a support cruiser, etc. My proposal is that these numbers are tallied up and at the end of the game there are 3 new catagories under a new "Deaths" main catagory: 1. I have a few ?'s reguarding some aspects of the game: 1. What does the upgrade to the TEC insurgency do? I think I found them over a planet once, but my own insurgency was hostile to me. 2. How do you make ships go through a phase stabilizer? When I told my fleet to travel, they went to the planet 1 by 1. 3. Why, if the TEC is the econ. specialist, do they have to upgrade metal and crystal seperately unlike the V
If SoaSE was a more realistic, wouldn't it take much longer to siege a planet with Vasarri laser cannons over the TEC nukes or Advent kinetic bolts? I'm saying this because the laser isjust that, a laser that cuts in 1 straight line compared to the explosions associated with the other 2 teams. Also, what's the most siege weapons you've used at once? I have (so far) 100 krosovs (with 2x launchers) for 200 siege weapons (cap ships have only 1) and I was wondering if anyon

What is the weapon that the Vasarri use on their capitals to bombard planets (because the frigates use kinetic bolts)? This may be a bit off topic, but what do you guys think will be the startegy of the race that's hunting the Vasarri down? VERY heavy fighter/bomber use? Defensive structures? Maybe their super weapon blows up the enemy's planet (at the expense of the super weapon so you'd have to build a new one.
O.K., I've read a bunch of strategy guides/tips, looked over the mod section and whatnot; and I've gotta say that this is really shaping up to be my favorite strategy game EVER! So I played the demo and it was very fun, I got the full game to play as the other two races and get the high end stuff. So far it's very fun and I like the music, atmosphere, overall strategy, etc. but I'm finding the opening game to be kind of slow. My basic strategy is to get a few scouts (3-4) to scout out the surrounding planets to see where the least resistance is so I can see where to expand. I upgrade my home planet and any economy upgrades so I can have a tough war
