Was away there for a while, college had my attention. Anywho, feel free to PM me so we can set up a time. I'm free most weeknights (assuming I don't have other plans set ahead of time,) after seven or eight EST, and a little earlier on the weekends.

Really depends on your specs, like he said. I can play on the highest settings on a Large(Multi) map with all AI's/friends with no slowdown for the entire game. Then again, I did build this computer for gaming.

I haven't notice any major imbalances like that...I generally play only TEC and it's fairly even so far. More strategy that decides who wins, but that's my opinion. Not necessarily fact.

I'll check it out at some point. Also, if anyone else is interested in starting up some multiplayer DS, be it for RP or just a fun night of empire building and war making, let me know. I'm certainly eager to integrate myself into the community!

I go by "BlazeNixon". Decent amount of experience, however I refuse to play on "Faster" settings-the game is just not fun and it goes by way too fast. I don't like zerg fests. :P

It's harder than I thought to find people that don't want to play at blazing speeds. D: Also, I'm more of an evening/night player, generally sleeping around 11 am lol.

This sounds AWESOME! I too enjoy the longer, more drawn out and strategy intensive games. Find me on ICO at "BlazeNixon"; I'm not sure how this "IP setup" works.

I'll add that I've been playing Sins offline and via LAN for well over a year now, so I'm not a 'noob'...but I'm far from an 'insane pro' either. I prefer laid back people who want to enjoy a fun strategy game or possibly even some role play involved, not people looking to zerg/rush everything and ending the game within five minutes. Just another reason I play at Normal or Fast instead of "Faster". :P

I play Diplomacy as "BlazeNixon", and have recently got an excellent computer so I can get back into Sins. I use the most recent version of Diplomacy, which at the time of this writing I believe is 1.2? I also use the Distant Stars mod if others have it, since it literally doubles if not triples what the game has to offer in terms of planets, capture-able objects, research, etc. I'm fine with playing the regular Diplomacy, though I would HIGHL
