upgrade to blast doors, this forces them to spend quite a bit of time trying to break down doors. so you vent the atmosphere and now they are stuck. The boarders will notice that the atmosphere is gone, they will panic and STOP attacking the structure in the room and start pounding on the doors, they will manage to break 2 down before suffocating but as long as you make sure to move your people out of the way and keep on opening d

Damn I hate when those mantises board me. Especially when they spawn in/get into the oxygen room. That is game over (I can't suffocate them then, because I always fail to repair the the oxygen room with zero oxygen there). My poor Zoltan dudes just can't take a mantis in a fight ;( But I love the game. Even though it just screws me over every single time :D

TA is the best RTS ever made.
I just don't see how TA is better than SupCom. SupCom is evolution of TA, expanding upon it, adding new options and improving UI. In my eyes, SupCom is just plain superior to TA. I'm not saying taking inspiration from TA is wrong, it would just be better if they also incorpo

This is only a few omissions (Blizzard RTSs, SoaSE and Ao

The team has lead programmer of SupCom and one of the art designers and the game is already promised to work much like SupCom except with mu
I'm definitely getting it next week when I'm less busy (and it is actually released in my region). First impression of players and first reviews are rather positive, so I'm looking forward to it a lot. I liked even vanilla Civ 5, so I think G&K will be all good stuff for me.
I know it is easily possible to colonize an Asteroid with just colony frigate (head straight for the 'roid, capture it and immediately build turret between the 'roid and the siege frigate present there and you always win). Is it possible to capture any of the actual planets with just colony frigate? The wiki IIRC implies this should be possible, but I was never able to figure out a sequence which wouldn't result in the planet being destroyed :(

Even right now, stripping is good for about two things: - Strategic denial of planet from opponent - Strip-rushing - this has to happen early enough and you must not
How do multiple instances of Microphasing aura stack (when multiple Skikantras have this ability)?
This is REALLY irritating. This basically means I cant edge scroll to the left :(
So far I didn't encounter a planet which would be able to hold off repel rate of Vorastra and 14 capitals for more than a few minutes (gotta love those Skikantras and Marauders) :)
I would prefer Kultorask or Vorastra, but Coronata is not bad either (though it is not obvious it is actually ship on that picture).
The "The game will unlock in..." disappeared from Steam, but when I launch the game, all I get is the beta (though after restart of Steam client, the Beta disappeared from library game name).
Tribes Ascend? At least that's the patch I am looking forward to (aside from the patch called SoaSE : Rebellion final :) )

A new update with three new races and multiplayer support was just released!
Yeah, I was all over the Consumer Preview when it was first released, but it sucked too hard for me to use. But do seem to incorporate user feedback, at least in some cases (like when they improved the awful gray-gray visuals of the new Visual Studio).
Nah, someone at MS just forgot to fill in correct publish date for that article.

I'm worried about polish and production values of a game made by a company which can't even film a proper trailer. At a glance, it seems like awfully big project for a small studio, which could bring many issues. The graphics look like Sacred 2 or Titan Quest on minimum detail (I would not expect too much even considering they had to lower graphical detail for the video). Also, the graphical style seems to be rather inconsistent. And I cou
I lol'ed at the "bring the friend" gag. Those who have the most Twitter followers become Generals :) Too bad there isn't more lore about SoaSE. I'm sucker for good sci-fi.
On my first game, I found the pacing rather slow - barely anything happened in first 100 turns, but it was mostly because I was rather clueless and extremely inefficient. Once you figure the build orders, which planets to settle and which techs are important, you can expand extremely rapidly, and have very good production and research. Also, it is not uncommon to find enemy's home planet 4 or 5 jumps away from yours. In such case (because I now play mostly Cravers, who are in perm
