Good post all around, although I don't think you NEED a coordinator. In fact, I think a better group doesn't have to rely on a single person for all of their strategy. I much prefer a group that ALL stay in communication, can give an order and take one, and where each DG has the intelligence to carry out their own plans. Granted, that doesn't always happen, and if you're a much better player than your teammates, by all means, order away. But that's not the ONLY way to
Yeah, I've played a few pretty amazing Ice TBs in my time, I usually play Sedna, and the place where he really shines is his ability to kill creeps. Especially when paired against Sedna, who already has trouble killing creeps quickly, when you have a TB who rains ice down on wave after wave of creeps, and just sits practically within range of the towers, there's nothing to be done but watch that TB gain levels like nobody's business. Also, to echo muusbolla, fireball's awesome for
We have a switch to force proxy. Why would you want to force someone onto proxy who is direct connecting fine? It makes no sense.
You wouldn't. The switch is for people who know they can't direct connect or connect through NAT. Currently, the game tries direct connect. When that fails, it tries NAT. When that fails, it connects through a proxy. If you know you can't connect directly or through NAT
It could also be an overheating problem. If there's no blue screen before it shuts down, then some part of your hardware might be overheating, which is especially common if it's a laptop. If you know how, might wanna open the computer up and clean out any dust that might be inside. Also, make sure the fan is running when you run Demigod, since that's a fairly intensive program, and should be heating up your computer.
Heh, it sounds to me like we mostly agree on this, Vesuvius. If we can all agree to act like gentlemen and women, and politely explain that we're leaving and be nice about it, then that's great. I agree that banlists are dumb. People should be allowed to explain themselves, and those who have a rational reason to leave in the middle of a game should be allowed to play, and just screaming "RAGEQUITTER GTFO" is just as immature as those who are ragequitting. Let me ask y
I understand perfectly well what you are arguing, I just don't agree with it. I do not recognize the validity of implicit agreements. That's a different problem, not the targetting bug. Assuming your mouse works with all other problems, it's probably something else. Do you play windowed, perhaps? Maybe give a ring, and see if they can help.
Yeah. They're broken at the moment. They're actually getting better, but both are problems, and the developers are working on favor and achievements.

If you're curious, Frogboy put up a post regarding WHY Demigod is P2P, and not server based here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/350856
There's a bug in the game at the moment. I've never seen this confirm click thing either, but there is a bug where demigods sometimes will not use abilities after an attack command is issued. The remedy that most players (like myself) have found is to issue a quick move command, then heal. This bug is most common, it seems, when targetting an ally (with a spell like heal or shield)

Just a quick point I made in another thread... Impulse is NEW. Steam was released in 2003, Impulse was released June of last year. That's 1 year vs 6. Now, Steam was really the first of its kind, and had to invent the wheel, so to speak, but Steam has a huge head start on this. I'm not saying Impulse shouldn't/can't get to that level, but coding takes a lot of time to do well, so it might take a while.
OMG this is great Thank you! Sadly there is no manual when you purchased the game online
Heh heh, actually, wrong again. The manual is in your install directory/Stardock Games/Demigod/bin/DemigodManual.pdf
Well, if it works fine through DMZ, then it's probably a port problem. Look in ImpulseReactor, and see if the correct ports are being used by Demigod. Try opening up a ridiculous number of ports (like... 4000-8000) TCP and UDP, and see if you can get lightning results that way, and try to narrow it down. Have you tried TCP? I doubt the game uses TCP at all, and I'm behind a network which I don't have access to the main router, so I don't know, but that could cause a pr
Umm, I agree and disagree with the OP. It's a game, do what you want. That's really the bottom line. However, that doesn't mean you should just do whatever you think is fun and to hell with everybody else. In other games it's called "griefing" (Shooting your teammates, etc), and in this game, leaving means you are most likely going to lose. It's the most annoying early-mid game before the game is even decided yet. Too many people don'

I'm pretty sure that you can install it any way you want to on as many computers as you want to, as long as you don't try to log into Impulse on multiple computers at once. That method should work fine for you. I know that it's also possible to archive your demigod installation and move it to another computer/fresh OS installation, but I don't know if that'll work in this case, I've never tried. It's also important to note that sometimes the best thing to do is ignore it. Hey deltis, Frogboy, one of the devs put up a thread in the journals section about issues with connectivity. Maybe post a link to this thread there, or repost it, because I guarantee they're looking there: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/352102

Most likely, what happened is that the person quit, but there's no way to differentiate between a dropped connection and a ragequit.
