Pretty much as the title suggest, I wanted to get the communities opinions on which settings make for the most exciting games. By exciting I don't mean "And then with all that gold I bought an ash and deathbringer and AF ring and was critting for 4k~!". I mean what makes the games most competative and has the most natural pacing? For instance I usually play the normal citadel kill mode. High grunts, high towers, normal rates. People usually assume that high grunts/towers will make the

Suicide kills are good as long as only Forces get the kill on you. Bagging and enemy kill nets you 800 gold at least. Thats as much gold as 22 waves of grunts/archers. That is a boon well worth the the 20-40s wait. The Xp you get is probably roughly what you would have gotten laning anyway. This isn't Dota. Because the rules are different the strategies are different. OF COURSE its better to get a kill and live. But if you're sure you can get that kill before you die an

I dont think mines should detonate from demigods if you have sight on them, from a flag/tower/obs totem. I also think mines aren't OP on their own but i can tell you as a regular regulus that they are OP in the way that the shrapnel debuff stacks with MoB. If you run through my mines you'll never catch me without using a spell or a stun to keep me slow. And if you use said spell or slow you're now moving at 10% move speed and i'm gone. The mines do great damage and when

You can't mist or swarm out of stun. Just saying, about the boulder roll comment. It works for rank 1 but once he has rank 2 or 3 you can't dodge it anymore. Just because I wasn't sure if you were chosing not to make that distinction or if you simply played against terrible rooks. Other then that i completely agree with you. Erebus doesn't have skills that are innately devistating the way other DGs do. bite is great, but thats it. He doesn't really have the auto-attack

Man teseer makes me want a thumbs down button. Anyway yes it is a slight imbalance, enough to be worth mentioning. Really though among the list of changes that should be enacted this one is probably middle road. Some towers being in range of the gold mine flags, and towers being in range of portal flags, are much higher on the list. Being able to pull the mobs as they pass through central without being zapped by towers should probably also be fixed, as it lets classes l

If you play with high hp grunts RoF is fantastic as a pure tag. You can tag the mobs and then run and cap a flag and get back before the next wave. Not only do you get more xp but if your enemy wants that flag back he'll likely get less xp then normal. So no, it's really not garbage. Unless you play with normal creeps, and I consider that newb mode.
If your rook is Hammer Slam built, save your slam for after bite, preferably saving it for when he's got 2100 health (assuming maxed slam and roll, adjust as needed). Most Erubi will try to get you to waste your nukes, and then bite. By refusing to nuke, you cause him to use his heal prematurely, which means he'll have difficulty recovering from your massive nukage. Of course, if he's good he'll just batswarm away at low health. Beware the Ereb

Erebus is a good hit and run hero. He's a nice blend of assassin and general that makes him very sturdy. Not as tank as an Oak or HP sedna, but with more dmg. Still less dmg then a late game reg or UB. If that ereb is doing as much dmg as your UB then he either got many early kills off you guys, your UB didn't go ooze (which is a great counter to aggresive erebus/reg), or you simply don't have the hp. Something like you picked anklet over blood or something. Ere
It kinda seems like this nerf is going to hurt me a lot. The DGs that I have problems with (Sedna, Oak, sometimes QoT) are defensive DGs who don't really need it. It seems like this nerf is going to hurt the squishies immensely. It's also going to heal more, meaning HP stacking/naturally high HP DGs (which are what I currently have problems with...) will be able to heal more of their gigantic pool, whereas it won't help squishies at

Just as a small side comment: I think all games should have strong towers and strong grunts by default. They should be the normal settings, the current normal should be the weak settings, and a stronger level should be "strong". On normal the NPCs and towers are nearly a joke. They don't really stop anyone higher then lvl 3 from running up. At least on strong towers hit for 3-400 and grunts don't insta-die to everything under the sun (And also do
But what do I care, I laugh every time I see an UB that doesn't take spit. Scratch that, I cry... I cry myself to sleep. Considering spit UB loses to Ooze UB lategame when 1.5k spit actually comes into play... yeah, not that great. Spit's really effective at level 4 and 7. At level 10... well, three spits doesn't matter much when you have 7k HP and are slowing the enemies autoattacks to a snails pace.
</
Foul grasp 2 still does less damage than you can do with your melee attacks/spit/Ooze when using it, so it's worthless; it's extra skill points for a return that is still less than the damage you could be doing otherwise. You don't use grasp for damage.
I agree. But just as devils advocate: You can still spit/ooze while grasping. It comes down to dmg/heal. Some people like that extra heal and damage. It does seem

parasite egg isn't really good against erebus. If he realizes you have it, he'll watch for it and just mist it off. With erebus its got to be AoE, or just not letting the match go that long. Alot of oak minion builds dont include shield (I dunno why, but i just see alot of people not get it) so egg works him him just fine usually. If you get it too early he will just grab shield tho, and the only good the egg will do is force his shield. Now the p

That being said, it counters 1 player. Unless its a 2v2 match, i've found it tough to really put the thing to good use. The pro

Monks are even better if you're a general and can buy Idols. health potions too. harrassing strategies rely on opponents who make themselves vulnerable to it. there's nearly always at least one in a match, if i find someone who can't be harassed i'll leave him alone and go pick on someone else. don't be that guy, because if you are you're gonna get harassed. I'm nearly positive that it doesn't stop it with oak. It may now stop it with QoT shield but not with oak invuln. Erebus can also use it and mist right away, and you're left with no way to stop him from full regening (mana only) and letting his swarm come off cooldown. Its not really those specific instances though that make me think heart is a little OP. It's the slot it takes and the effects it garners. If you use it every cooldown (as most do) its essentially a 115 h

Oh, yea. I had noted it as 25 but i forgot that by that point we had the -15% to cooldowns flag. Sorry. 30s would be fine if the mana return weren't simply so powerful. I dont really mind the 3000 health, but the 3000 mana return is really just too good as it is. It ends up being an item with 50% mana regen and 100 mp/s.

Heart of Life is easily my favorite item in demigods. I get one on nearly every character, its often the first item I buy after the initial 1000g. That sort of led me to question the fairness of this item. I've seen it used in a wide variety of ways. QoT + bubbble, oak + invuln, popping it in unison with erebus mist for a free full mana bar, and just as a basic regen mechanic. Its your crystal away from the crystal. But is that really ok? Yep same problem for me. I posted in tech support as well. Basically if i have /serverproxyonly then I can't connect to any games. I can see them in the lobby but get a failed NAT message when trying to join. If I turn off proxy, then I CAN connect to w/e games I can connect to without proxies. But if even 1 person in that game redlines on me, I seem to end up getting booted in anyway. Long story short, my current settings require proxies for me to play. With proxies no

Thanks for the extremely detailed guide Makerz. I've alread set that up tho >. I someone posted in a similar thread that they think the problem is that its no longer moving to proxies for w/e reason. Its doing NAT negotiations and if that fails it just fails to connect. Even if you have proxies on. I've had proxyonly on all week and the game had been working great right up until last night when i started getting this NAT error. There were a
