Where to put modding folders for Sins? in Sins of a Solar Empire Stardock Forums

I recently have been getting back into playing Sins once again and stumbled upon some really cool looking mods for the game. One of them in particular, Maelstrom and its expansion, got my interest more so than the others so i proceeded so download it through the program called Desura. I reinstalled it but to no avail, I'm still hearing the reverberating noise. But the noise seems to happen alot less now, mostly when I'm getting lagg in-game.

When i tried Verifying Sins via Impulse, a window popped up and said " The game is not installed correctly. Please look for an application update." turns out there was an update for it (which is wierd b/c i know i already updated it yesterday when i downloaded it). I then tried to verify it and a window popped up that said "The game was installed correctly." but the reverberating noise persisted once i got to the Sins menu screen.

I downloaded winamp as you said and now when i go to play the SINS audio files they sound crystal clear. does that mean its a problem with my game or what?

well when i do open the files they keep comming up as errors when i play them with windows media player

Hiya I recently re-downloaded Sins of a Solar Empire because I felt the nerve to play it. Everything went smoothly, including the updates, until I got around to actually starting up the game. Every time I would move the mouse over button icons or click on the sound of them normally would reverberate irregularly through my speakers. Glitchy music appears to be present as well. Well anyone know how to fix this problem? i would like to play sins with some noise in the game instead of it being silent or crackling all the time.

The game is verified and i did disable/ reenable my sound hardware to no avail. This is the only game of mine that does this, as i play world of warcraft and Starcraft II. Both of those games play fine. I tried restarting my computer and it still crackles.

Register Product Error in Sins of a Solar Empire Stardock Forums

Hello, I am trying to download a update for Sins of a Solar Empire. When i go to updates and try to download it, it askes me to register the product. when i put all the info. i need ( Serial #, E-mail adress, Product Category, and Product) it says that it doesnt reconize the code provided on the back of the training manual. and it also says to check the code AND the e-mail adress AND the Product to see if they are wrong.
