OK, this was funny... it didn't matter that I reset the game to outnumber the Borg over 2:1... I changed things like I said as far as capital ships and supply points, and set up a small 20 planet galaxy map designed for a 1vs1 slugfest. I also went in and changed the galaxy.def so the militia's own their planets and are more jacked up. I always thought the militia's were underpowered... plus it seems more realistic to me to have to bomb the planet to take control of it.&

OK, so I have a question... does it take the combined race's abilities to bring down the Borg, or is it just a question of numbers? I haven't had much time to play, but I can get in a quick game tonight, and what I was wondering is this, Would it be possible for the federation to win a game if the Borg only had half or maybe a third the number of capital ships and supply points? OK, this is a cool update! I only spottted one more small bug so far... when playing as the Borg (I don't know about the other races), the button at the top of the HUD to go to the research tree is missing. It'll glow when your researching something, but just looks like a glowing black rectangle where the button should be. But if you click where it should be you'lll still get to the research tree, so you can still play the game. Just thought you should know..

OK, I've been playing with it a bit and so far I really like the changes. Especially to the Borg research trees. But I'm puzzled by one thing, maybe it's a bug. I can't change my player name. It's frozen on "Starfleet", which looks a little silly if I'm playing as the collective. Other than that so far I'm liking this a lot!!!

Hey, the answer thing is back!!! I haven't been able to reply for days. OK, whoever asked about adding the Distant Stars worlds, I've been working on my own version of that, and so far it's only kinda working. Distant Stars is a very involved mod, with not just new worlds, but also lots of new planetary bonuses and abilities. Hey everyone... well, I can't find what's mini-dumping my game yet... weird. It plays fine, but when I quit it dumps. I've been over everythng 3 times and I can't find a typo anywhere. Oh well, it still plays. But I wanted to mention my daughters motherboard blew up last week, so I got her a laptop for her graduation. What's cool is I took the RAM chips from her old tower and put them in mine (they're compatable) and ramped up my RAM from 3 gigs to 6 gigs.

Hey guys on the Mod team, I have a question if you have a second. Since everyone is busy and it looks like the next version will be a while, which, BTW, is fine... I know Stress and everyone is busy. But since it looks like it's gonna be a while I figured I'd play around and add the planets from Distant Stars into my copy of SoA2, at least the ones from our own solar system. So far that's what I've done, imported everything to make the Solar System planets playable.
