Quoting just_jim, reply 3439 Remember, most importantly... you NEVER, EVER go against someone in a fair fight if you can stab them in back first... think along the lines of the end of "Gladiator".. remember how the Emperor stabbed Russel Crow in the side before they fought out in the arena??? Now that's what I call being a Romulan!!! Only problem with that view is... the emperor guy STILL go

I had the Borg set to researcher, which is most like them in my opinion. For the most part they seemed to be playing fairly balanced... but I did notice one issue with the Borg. Normally when I make a galaxy forge map, or play one of the premades... I'll go in and add some stronger militia's to the planets, just to make it a better fight. I also changed my GalaxyScenarioDef file so the militias own their planets. I do it to all the mods I have... it's

Personally my favorite race are the Romulans... I love being sneeky and stealthy... and the star bases make them, in my opinion, almost unstoppable... especialy the ability for a starbase to cloak and recharge it's anti-matter, instead of draining it. Last night, I beat the Borg set to Vicious last night 1vs1, with no cheating... and I even allowed the Borg time to recearch cubes and unicomplexes.... The way I did it was wait until the Borg are out&nbs

LOVE the mod tho. 1 Comment tho. Are they supposed to be able to assimilate with the shields up? I always remember from the series, that the shields unless overwhelmed kept them out or am I remembering wrong>
I've was just
As they gain power via leveling, Elite neutrals do not make sense from a game play perspective. Your average D'kora would have one of it's two abilities and lack either the missile launcher, or the ability added special properties on the rear weapon. Only if one were to suicide ships on them first to give them levels, would they be whole in function. I wont rule out the possibility of leveled neutrals,

I have a quick question. I love the new militia and pirate ships... and the ferengi were a nasty little surprise! At first I laughed when I saw them, until I realized how tough they are.... very nice! And it's nice to see Bajor joining the fun... But what does SONA stand for??? Did I miss something... Am I missing something??? Oh, and I can't find the jump inhibitor available in the Borg research trees any
I'm surprised no one has mentioned The Sims yet. Will Wright was a genius with this concept. It's so stupidly simple, yet so addictive. Almost all of the Expansion were worth getting. Maxis worked this charm into the games that only they could do. On the other hand, The Sims 3 series right now is not great. EA shelved Maxis at the end of The Sims 2, created it's own developer team (not nearly as much talent and creativ
Indeed, the only scenario where the Borg would ally with anyone is with another Borg faction. Take First Contact for example, if the Borg would have succeeded in contacting the Borg in the Delta Quadrant at the time, and assimilated Earth. Then, they would have surely united, becoming one collective, but still uniting none the less.
That is true... I hadn't thought about that, but yeah, they would have been 2 seperate "facti

I do know that among other things in the diplomacy aspect we did for the Borg it will cause them to ally with no one. Which is exactly what we want. We can accept a little AI bugginess for that. As long as there is nothing game breaking going on. The AI will build, and expand even if they have no diplomatic ships.
No

OK.... needless to say I've got the day off and nothing to do... lol I have a question about the Borg. First off, wanna have some fun? Set up a single player game as the Borg against 6 or so allies all set to vicious... hehehe. They actually had me going for a while, and early on nearly took my collective down a couple times. I'm thinking 8-9 allies all set to vicious might be able to do it, depending on the game and such... depends... if t

Nice!!! Too bad you couldn't change the languages and fonts as well... an HUD in Klingon would be over the top... but also probably require a translation manual... lol. MyFist, OK, I like the Romulan Starbase. Rommies are my favorite race, and I've been waiting for this. I didn't play long enough to really see it in action, but I'm real curious to play around with the cloak. Does anyone know if the AI will use it? I know it

OK, I'm gonna go off on a tangant, All the new ships sound awesome, and I can't wait for this to be released... but honestly, you want to know what I'd like to see more than anything? Something really simple... In a single player game, I would like to have better control over the name and pic of my opponent(s), not just some random choice by the computer. I like making complex games in Galaxy Forge, and in may cases some faction names fit, and othe

Awwwww, I gots a Kharma point! hehehe I didn't have a chance to play a full game, but I played around a little last night... surprise after surprise... I love the skyboxes. I fired up "Derelict" and had a red star, and this beautiful red/blue sort of nebula.... nice touch! I'm not sure if I should mention all the cool things I'm finding... don't want to be a spoiler.. But one thing did make my jaw kinda drop.... "A Starbas

OK, I just downloaded the Diplomacy version and I have only 2 words to say to the mod team: FRACKING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It took a little while to figure out everything on the HUD, but now it looks so Trek!!! I was blown away when I first fired everything up. And I love the new background music with Picard's voiceover.... nice touch!
