I'm just really blown away... if it's the AI, it's the first time one has really gone this far against me. I'm both annoyed and impressed at the same time. I keep bitching
OK... this was weird...... I updated to 1.04 earlier, and made a custom map in galaxy forge to try out the different races. 6 star systems, each with a dozen planets set up so each race can get a foothold before the fun starts. I also added a bunch more ships to the planet militias to make things more interesting.... So this time I thought I'd try out TEC rebels.... each of the other players set to cruel... the game started OK.. the rebel titan is prett

And here I was just getting ready to start a game... thank you for the heads up, this is a most welcome surprise!!!!!

Vasari are the master race not those pesky humans, That's pretty much the lore's reasoning for the Vasari's reliance on mobility & guerilla tactics: because they are vastly outnumbered and would lose if forced into a war of attrition.
which is how I try and beat
OK, mine updated itself, but I haven't played it yet, other than starting it to check the version number. Gonna grab some supper and then fire it up and try it out....
OK, so it's Tuesday.... how exactly does this work with Steam? Do we download the patch, or does it update automatically? I just tried firing up my game, and it's still 1.031.. something.... how do we upgrade to 1.04????
OK, I can't get the Rebellion intro movie out of my head.... if you watch the intro movie to Rebellion, and then factor in how the Vasari Rebels are written, it's becoming pretty clear where Stardock is planning on going next...... I think we are going to finally see what the Vasari have been running from. Think about it... 3 expansions, not just buffing the races, but also designed to bring them together as allies.. especially the Vasari Rebels. And countl
This is just a pet peeve... lol... but can someone please address the Players "InGameName" option in galaxy forge... please??? I know it's a little thing compaired to balancing out the game, but I love making custom maps of different combat situations, and I would love to be able to actually use it and have the ability to name an opposing faction in a single player game, like it's supposed to. Thanks!
I played three games so far
Quoting Death_L, reply 25Now I wasn't here during the Beta for Rebellion, but from what I've heard the Ankylon was actually very good, some even said overpowered, but I'm not asking to buff it back to how it was, just improve it more than it currently is now, because its one of the least useful Titans out there. When people were complaining about the Ankylon, we only had the TEC factions in, and ti

So I also have to set the owner from "PlanetOwner" to "Random Militia"??? First of all, if you only want it on custom maps you make, editting the GSD is the totally wrong approach. You should disable the default templates for the planets you want militia on, add the ships you want the militia
Oh hey, development team, if you are reading this... Please consider setting the militias to own their planets, and ramping up the militias. They're pretty lame right now. I and so many other people I know have made mods to do this, so we not only have to defeat a militia, we also have to bomb a new planet before taking posession of it. I've changed every version of SINS I've owned, and I'll do it to every new version to come o

I don't want to get into a good game if it's gonna happen again. I'd rather jus
Quoting just_jim, reply 8No, at this point all I changed was the ownership line from 0 to 1.... where specifically do you mean? Do you mean colonizeChance 0 to colonizeChance 1 ??? set to 0.5 for 50% chance etc. Some owner examples owner "PlanetOwner" owner "RandomMilitia" owner "NoOwner" owner "NewPlayer0" Are you doing this in the map or the GSD? <br
As I've said before Wail is probably overpowered(and frankly the Eradica probably is as well). That said, I maintain changes should be handled very carefully. The Advent Rebels are in a rather starnge place balance-wise. They don't really have a strong foundation built on a large number of useful tech so much as they have two absolute bombs which make them competitive. Under the surface they suffer from many o
OK, I have a question..... not sure if it belongs here, or in Modding, or both..... but it mostly pertains to modding Rebellion, so I'll put it here. One of the things I've done on all the past games before Rebellion was to change my GalaxyScenarioDef files so that the local militia owned their planets. Before Rebellion it was easy, just find the appropriate militia template, and switch ColonizeChance from 0 to 1.... and Viola'... instant militia
I think it's still the best of the 3 superweapons, even nerfed, especially for the VL.... the more I play a VL "death fleet" style, moving my capital to my titan and stripping planets as I use them, the more Kostura becomes a nightmare for the enemy. I'm not using it for pirates... a proper fleet can take down a pirate base no problem without the cannon.... no, the Kostura becomes lethal because it gives you the ability to bypass a fleet, and
wait, I mispoke on that last post.... VR can jump a starbase, not VL.... but that actually makes more sense for a roving VL death fleet. Having a starbase that can jump seems somewhat OP for an already OP race..... and just feels a little weird with a mobile empire....
OK, I need to ask, and I mean this with all seriousness... Why the hell is this thread in the Rebellion section, and not the "Immature children fighting in a playground" section???
Hmmmmm... I just beat the VL with AR, VL on Vicious.... it was a great game, but I still won in the end. Yeah, the VL titan is amazing, but so it the AR's "Angel of Death".... and with the Advent, culture can be a bitch!!! hehehe Having said that, I've only had Rebellion about a week, and hadn't really gotten to the VL yet... until this afternoon. I just started a game as VL, and was reading the tech tree, when the full impact of stri
Oh hey, I was just going to report this happening! But in mine just now there were over 350 scouts, and my game was locking up bad. I was actually having one hell of a great game... I'm playing Triumverate, each player set to a different race and faction, so I have all 6 going, all set to cruel, and it's been a fantastic hard game so far. I am LOVING rebellion!!! I'm almost 6 hours into what's becoming a serious game of attrition... but about&nbs

It seems all well and good when a bunch of puny Marquis raiders show up in your system. When four or five Ferangi cruisers (which are eff
